I bought this to replace my older instant hot.  I had the same model for several years, and the tank started leaking.  I called the manufacturer and they recommended this new model number to replace my older unit.  This item had all of the same connections, so it was very quick and easy to place it.  It works great, and the price was the best over all the other suppliers on the net.

5 minutes.
Loosened 2 screws and took off the water lines.  
Replaced easily

I was replacing an older one, 12-14 years old.   Easy to replace.  Unplug, three snap on water lines off and take it out.  Reverse the process.  Took 11 minutes total.  VERY Happy.  Have it se at 193 degrees at this time.

Very nice water heater that is easy to install.

That's a great price for a bundle of an insinkerator insta hot tank and a faucet. Easy to install and connect. Operates as expected. No issues so far.

This was my third  or fourth instant hot.   They last about 5-7 years and the seal around the heating element deteriorates and they leak.   But they are really nice to have and are very convenient.  This one arrived next day and because it was a replacement I popped it in about 10 min.   It would be really nice if insinkerator sold a replacement heating element because the unit is built very well and except for the seal it was in great shape.

I am so pleased with this dispenser. Never had one before. It looks great, functions great, is quiet when it is reheating, the temperature can be adjusted, I use this hot water many times a day, versus using my hot pot that takes minutes and uses counter space. I am so excited to have a hot water sink dispenser now, and I love this one. Highly recommended.

Love this product and concept - although water is shooting out the back of the spicket and I have no idea how to correct the problem.

NIce hot water

Unless you are an experienced plumber or mechanic, you will need two  people to set this up. It even says so in  the instructions. The connector to the cold water intake was not correct and I had an unwelcome adventure trying to find an adapter. How about providing specs on the compression fittings so it is easier to adapt to a standard two outlet valve?

Not easy to install.

Handle is in the way of the hot water and the spout is not high enough

Not For Me

I purchased a HWT100 Dispenser, and it quickly became my favourite kitchen gadget. Unfortunately, near the end of the first year of installation, the unit began to periodically spit hot water during use. Initially, I assumed this was normal for it to suck air in to the system every now and then, but the issue progressively worsened over time.

The dispenser eventually would hiss and spit boiling water each time I used it and now I recently discovered the tank has leaked inside the kitchen cabinet, causing the wood to swell and not allow the soft close door to close properly.

To make matters worse, the unit has now started tripping the GFI receptacle in my kitchen backsplash whenever it is left plugged in under the sink, making it now unusable.

I'm disappointed, as I truly loved this dispenser but didn't expect it to start acting up before year one. Prior to these issues, it was easily my favourite kitchen appliance hands down!

Given the circumstances, including the apparent unit failure and resulting cabinet damage, I am hopeful the company will be willing to assist with a replacement unit or provide a suitable resolution.
