surprisingly solid guitar for the price. It needed a minor setup, but nothing I couldn't do on my own with a screwdriver. If the trem system more responsive it'd be close to holding its own up against my Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster.

I'm rating it as a price to value ratio. I mean, there are several things I'm not wild about  - like the neck is pretty fat and the action high as it comes from the factory, BUT it has great intonation, stays in tune and sounds sweet. It has sustain that goes on forever. Does it compare to the American guitars I have? No way, but that's not a fair question. The thing needs work but the pieces are all there for a solid rocker at an unbelievable price point. If you're in the market for an affordable "Jazzocaster" type guitar, you could do much much worse.

it was pretty good i suppose. Sounded great and felt great although im left handed and the awkward body shape made it neck dive a lot since id have to play it upside down and the neck is longer than i prefer. id suggest it as a great beginner guitar. i traded mine with my friend for a different guitar though. still a great guitar though and i would without a doubt suggest it. although id also suggest a slightly smaller neck length

Great guitar

Shipping was fairly quick under a week.  Box was damaged but guitar was not due to gig bag.  Finish on guitar was almost flawless.  However the frets were not.  They were very sharp on ends, very gritty and a few were high.  After a couple hours leveling rounding ends and then polishing and oiling  fretboard looks feels great.  While I had neck off I added copper shielding tape under pick guard and replaced tone pot with coil split as the humbucker was 4 wire a nice surprise.  I also lightly sanded back of neck polished it and added roller string tree in place of cheap one on faceplate.  After I got everything back together I intonated and reset height to 1.5 mms tightened tunners as they were loose and adjusted truss rod a little bit for correct relief, set pickup height. and finally polished body back of neck with Bee?s spray.   After this complete set up and new strings 9-42?s I can say wow I have a gigable great sounding guitar.  Not great for beginner without setup.

Monoprice OS20

The guitar is beautiful. Couldn't wait to play it when I got it. When it arrived, I took off the protective white cloth type bag it comes with when I felt a sharp pain. Every fret on the neck has sharp edges. Not just one side of the neck, but both sides. Top and bottom. Its unplayable. QC should have caught this.  It should have never left the factory in that condition.  So it gets 2 stars just because I couldnt play it. I have no idea what it sounds like. Aside from that. The paint job was good. The was a bit of glue on the fretboard over by the neck joint, but its not a big deal.

Beautiful but...

Extremely disappointed, besides the fact that one of the tone pots didn?t work at all and the pot post comes right out of the guitar, not attached to anything, the claw screws for the tremolo system were drilled straight through the body cavity and breaks through the inside of the pickup cavity absolutely terrible work terrible craftsmanship and components I know  what are you supposed to expect for $149.00 but I bought a firefly for about the same price and the craftsmanship is universes apart? the difference between my firefly and this Indio is  like comparing a Gibson Les Paul goldtop Standard to a plastic Mickey Mouse guitar, never buy another Indio ever again.
