I have multiple carriers. Many different structured and soft carriers. This is the best carrier I have by far! It's the perfect combination and the ability to use it from newborn to 25 lbs is amazing. So comfortable, never causes any discomfort at all, and my babies all loved it because they could face out and see the world or snuggle close facing in. Great for napping on the go, it is so snug I could wear it under my coat in the winter too! I recommend this carrier to all my mommy friends!

I have received the Up Close Carrier from Infantino to facilitate my reveiw. This has been a lifesaver with my 9 week old! I've been able to get everything done without setting him down. The directions of use are very easy to understand. It is so easy to put on and get him in and out. He still gets the closeness of me holding him. And I get to use both of my hands! This has been such a lifesaver with a baby who never wants put down. I definitely recommend this to all parents with newborns and infants. You'll be able to keep your baby close, comfortable, and safe in this carrier!

Absolutely love this carrier!

I have received the Up Close Carrier from Infantino to facilitate my review. I loved this carrier. My husband was put in the hospital and I was able to wear her in it when I took her to visit him. I loved how high up it wore it made her feel more secured unlike any other carrier. So far this is the only carrier she's liked and doesn't cry in which made things a whole lot easier for me. I'm so happy I got to try it out but I would defiantly have bought it. I will be recommending this carrier to all my friends and family.

I loved this carrier!

I have received the Up Close Carrier from Infantino to facilitate my review* I love this carrier! I have become somewhat of a carrier collector. The Up Close carrier really does offer the softness of a woven wrap with the security of buckles. Add in the fact that it's ergonomic and it wins all around. My daughter is on the smaller side. At 3 months she's still only 11lbs. For my other ergonomic carriers she requires the infant insert (since her legs can't comfortably reach the leg holes) which she gets annoyed with quickly since she enjoys kicking her legs. We enjoy our woven wraps, but I find them a bit difficult to wrap while we are on the go and getting in and out of the car. With the Up Close, we had all the benefits of the structured carriers with the comfort of the woven wrap. It's very simple to use as well. As someone who has back problems, I found this carrier to be very supportive and caused no discomfort. It is also plus size friendly (I am a size 14 and had plenty of room to spare). Overall, we are very happy with this carrier and we plan on using it until she outgrows it.

Perfect for infants!

I love this carrier! it's so comfortable and ajusts easily between sizes because my boyfriend and I are not the same size but it doesn't take forever to adjust and can be done very quickly. My Baby absolutely loves being in here she never ever cries and seems so comfortable it's comfortable for me having her so close and all the straps are pretty comfortable as well! the one thing I wish I could do though was Adjust the head support but other than that this is my favorite carrier I have already recommended it to my friends. it is completely worth every penny and if anything ever happened to this one I would buy it again because I love it so much! Thank you infantino for allowing me to try this carrier, I'm so happy!

Worth Every Penny

It's a good baby door. It has excellent support for the person wearing it. The only downside is the head support for the infant, it often goes down to the neck of the baby, so you have to be vigilant and raise it often.

Good value for money

I received this carrier as a gift at my baby shower and it was great to have. It's very easy to use and I always felt my son was secure in it. Only thing I didn't really like were the buckles on the straps being so close to his head (he would rest his head to the side and they would leave marks, and the noise of being snapped in would startle him). Good for smaller babies! My son outgrew it around 5-6 months (when he was around 17lbs).

Decent carrier!

I have received the Up Close Carrier from Infantino to facilitate my review. I tried this carrier with my 4.5 month old daughter who is growing quickly! She is already about 16 pounds. She seemed to really enjoy being in this carrier and fell asleep within minutes of being placed in the carrier. She really seemed to enjoy the closeness is provided and obviously found it comfortable. I found her to be well supported. Comfort-wise for me, the carrier was not uncomfortable for my back but did strain my shoulders a bit. I think it would have been more comfortable for me to wear when my daughter was a tiny newborn and weighed less. This carrier would have been preferable to the sling I wore her in because it provides more support and seems more comfortable for the baby. Overall, it is a very good carrier for the price and seems perfect for infants.

Great Carrier for Infants

I have received the Up Close Carrier from Infantino to facilitate my review. I was very excited to try out this carrier because it looked like i would be the perfect combination of the cozy, snuggliness of a knit wrap and the ease of use of a structured carrier. And after using it for almost 2 weeks, I can say that is the case. It does have some advantages and disadvantages over other carriers, but I think it's well worth it for the price point. Compared to woven or stretchy knit wraps, the Up Close carrier is much easier to use. It was very easy to figure out how to use the carrier with the instruction manual provided. Adjusting the carrier is not complicated, but the waist strap is a little awkward to adjust while being worn. The shoulders are very easy to adjust. Unfortunately, the fit is not as customizable as I would like. No matter how I adjusted the carrier, my son's chest always felt smashed a little too tightly against my chest and there is no way to loosen that up without also lowering him below where he should sit. He is 4 months and 14 lbs and should be well within the size range for this carrier. The good part about him being carried so snug to my body is that his weight is much better distributed and it doesn't bother my back to wear him. I'm comparing to the Baby Bjorn, where he hung loosely. In the Up Close carrier I could take him for walks that would have strained my lower back in the Baby Bjorn, and I could lean forward or to the side a bit without him feeling like he would fall. The straps are a very rustly nylon, but I really liked the soft, stretchy knit material the cocoons the baby in this carrier. The one thing I really didn't like is that the clasping buckles are right at my son's face level and I am always afraid I will pinch him while I'm trying to get him settled into it. It's certainly avoidable, just be aware of it especially with a very wiggly baby. I do really like this carrier, though, and use it often.

Convenient Carrier, Great for price-point

I have received the Up Close Carrier from Infantino to facilitate my review. I was really excited to receive this carrier for my review. My little girl was around 7 weeks old when I received it. I'm 5'2" and 115 lbs. Pros: -This carrier is small, light weight and compacts very tiny for transport. It is ideal for not taking up much space in a diaper bag and would be perfect for travel especially on a flight. -The material that the baby sits in is very soft and I think if I were a baby I would like to be nestled in this fabric vs some of the other carriers that I have that are more rigid. -The carrier is adjustable so both my husband and I can wear it. This is a bonus as most infant/small baby carriers are sized and only fit one parent. -The price point is amazing! -Perfect for wearing in hot climates or for summer babies as the material is thin and doesn't need an infant insert! Cons: -The large buckles are located right by babies head. Each time I put my daughter in the carrier she would jump at the noise and start crying. -My daughter is also starting to chew on the straps to the left and right of her head making the buckle location not ideal. -The material that the straps are made out of are thin and easily get twisted when I adjust the carrier to fit me. -The way the carrier is constructed was a bit confusing for me when putting it on each time. One time my daughter's leg was not in the right spot and she was not secure. Seems like there are too many "layers". -The straps that lay on the parents chest between chest and baby never laid flat for me and were always bunching out in babies face. Felt like I couldn't ever get it fit just right on me. -The carrier is made for infants/small babies but it did not support my daughters head enough and left her very stressed. -My daughter has yet to be in this carrier without crying. I will continue to try it as she gets older and has better head control.

Not my favorite carrier, but has some nice features!!!!
