Price

This is a real classic series. It led to two other popular shows: "Lewis" and "Endeavour".  When it first appeared on dvd, it came in a wooden box with several extras. Needless to say, it was quite expensive (around $400, as I recall). So here it now is, at an affordable price: all 12 seasons. This was John Thaw's finest role, a d he died not long after the series ended. Kudos to BBC for bringing it out on this format, a d kudos to Walmart for offering it.

DVDs are great...play well. When we received them one DVD was loose because one of the holders was broken. Does not affect the quality of the dvd.

Love this series...excellent buy.

Watched 2 episodes so far, clear picture,  good sound and closed captions, and works in my USA Sony DVD. My wife loves this series and this is just what we wanted. Hard to find this properly done, so many are available which are not remastered, no CC and wont work in USA.

Exactly what we wanted!

Print qualities of the DVDs are very good. However, it takes a slightly bit more effort than it should to take a disc out of its slot. Overall, I recommend this collection.

Great product, but casing could be better.

Since I am already familiar with Morse, this set is a dream come true! If you've never watched the episodes, you just might find yourself binge-watching. Photography and sound very good.

Inspector Morse: The Complete Series (DVD)

Love it!  It has taken so long for this to come to America. Great quality, clear picture, and it has closed captioning. Good bargain for 17 DVDs.

Morse has arrived in America!

Not new; scratches and circular scuffing on several discs, interfering with skipping and in some cases freezing; could not finish some episodes as a result.

NOT NEW

This would be a wonderful series but for 2 factors:  1: It must be set up to be viewed from specific recommended DVD players; 2,  very large English subtitles appear on the screen, along with the spoken English dialog - very distracting, and to my thinking, wrecks the presentation, of what could be a wonderful detective series. For these 2 factors, I would not recommend purchasing this series.
