This was a great price point and had lots of colors to choose from. Everything comes in the kit, so no need to go out and buy any other supplies. Super easy and fun! I would suggest slightly dampening the shirts first, so you won't have to use as much dye and to wait longer than 8 hours for the completed project to set before washing.

This kit is WONDER-FILLED! I do recommend strongly prewashing the 100% natural fiber with NO SOFTENER in rinse or dryer and then pretreating it in a soak of the Tulip Soda Ash. Doing that makes the colors rich, strong and true. The variety of colors in this kit is superb and the effects that can be obtained are limitless, it was a great "girls get together", easy cleanup with the plastic table cover and bottle caddy. We tie-dyed over coffee. I the prewashed, pre soaked 100% cotton Terra %26 Sky tank tops I got at Walmart on sale, along with this kit and set up a "girls play day" with 4 of my friends. We Had a blast and the kit had enough for two more people, we had plenty to go around. We put the shirts into plastic bags after we had colored them to let the dye set. Had breakfast, chatted, took a swim, and came back to the still covered table to see how our shirts came out, the rinse to clear water step was the only slow process, I didn't have 4 sinks so we had to take turns, that's where 6 people may have struggled. not sure how it would work to do repeated rinse and spin in a washer with all shirts at once but may try that next time after doing a 1st rinse in the sink to get the initial excess dye out. We had early cocktails so the sharing sinks and reveal with rubber band removal was GREAT! There was talk of doing this again almost immediately! Only drawback...I wish I would have taken pictures to share! Maybe next time. We all have a memory shirt that commemorates our "Sisters to Dye For" date! This would be a fun thing for well behaved children but have "dye clothes" for them to wear ...with squeeze bottles the temptation to squirt each other might be too great and the waiting time maay make them impatient unless a mid day activity is also scheduled. Well worth the price of the Tulip One-Step Tie-Dye Big Box Party Kit, the Soda Ash, and the tank tops...may do an autumn date with Tees or long sleeve Henleys if I can find them in 100% white cotton at a reasonable price. Walmart seems to always have what I want and need so...Autumn Sisters Tie-Dye Party is alreay on the horizon!

Best Idea for "Girls Day" EVER!!! will do it again

The bottles are small but so many non traditional colors to enjoy, I can totally see one kid using up an entire color on a big tshirt.

Great the dye kit. Everything included was used and protected us from a big mess. The dyes were also great quality and we were able to dye more than six shirts. Overall we were very pleased.

A great time

A very equipped tie dye kit. Love the colors in this one.  The company did a great job. Wish their instructions for how to make certain tie dye effects was a bit better.

Cool kit

Very nice kit.Not expensive and had everything you need.Says to let the dye stay in 6-8 hours but we did it overnight for more vibrant colors.Used plastic grocery bags to put them in separately. Rinse in cold water a couple times then really hot water with a little Dawn.Excellent results!

I love the kit, but it would be nice if you didn't have to mix the whole bottle of dye at one time.   Its fine if youre doing a kids party and you will be using all or most of it, but if you are just dying a couple of shirts for fun, you end up wasting half of a color.

Good kit

I bought this for a birthday gift and there is no labeling on the box like shown in the photo. It's just a clear box with no information. There's also no project guide like shown in the photo.

What is it?!

smaller then led to believe and we were expexting colored lids, not just caps, as the pictures show the lids being colored as well, we work with children, so once those little caps come off there is no hope in figuring out what color is red and what is pink, what is bright yellow and what is the other yellow color, etc.

bottles are not as advertised

Very unhappy with this purchase and the quality of the product!  The bottles all leaked once we put water in them! Couldn't find a way to put the lids on that they didn't leak! No matter how you shook it, the dye didn't dissolve well at all and left undissolved spots of dye on the shirts that were still visible even after washing them.One of the kits actually had dye powder loose in the package which was real fun! NOT! not what I expected from Tulip because they usually have great products and these are the first kits I have ever had anything but good results and products.
