I am loving this pot. I didn't know what I was missing until I got one. I find it very useful in the kitchen. To be able to cook rice without having to stand over the pot is a blessing. I use it to cook dried beans every week. I also use it regularly to cook quinoa. I just wish I had purchased one sooner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, so I just got this new kitchen gadget, and I'm totally loving it! This thing is an Instant Pot, and it does like, everything.  Seriously, I can pressure cook, slow cook, and a bunch of other stuff with it.  Everyone seems to agree that it's awesome, and the reviews are all really positive.  I highly recommend checking one out if you want an easy cooking experience.

My instant pot Rio is very easy to use with a good amount of valuable preset cooking temperatures. What I love most about my pot is the non stick interior. You can cook, slow cook, pressure cook, warm up or keep warm. I find it useful to have the option to use the pot with the lid on or off for certain things. Get creative, the possibilities are endless.

Instantly easy to use

I purchased one for myself and absolutely love it!  I just purchased one for a family member for a housewarming gift.  It is easy to use and has so many features!  It allows me to prepare meals so much faster.  My pot roast is so tender and cooks much quicker.  If you are considering but not sure........BUY IT!!!  You will not be sorry and you will love it!

This thing is awesome. Makes the best rice I've ever had (using the pot in pot method) so you don't need a rice cooker on the counter. Pressure cook also rocks when making bone broth. I get cold rotisserie chickens and pull the meat off. Everything that isn't meat, goes into the cooker for 2-3 hours. Once it's done, add some veggies and some of the meat and pressure cook for 5 more minutes and you've got some amazing and frugal soup that will last you for a week.

Please disregard any and all negative comments in the reviews here because they are not warranted! I have been a heavy (i.e. every day!) Instant Pot user for over eight years and am very impressed with this Walmart/Instant Pot unit. It was designed with simplicity in mind and it is amazingly easy to use and quiet as a mouse. 
The Black Friday price made it impossible to ignore. 
The inner pot is light and ceramic coated aluminum and so far is holding up very well. The pressure release switch is new for me and very convenient. All the parts are easily removed for washing either by hand or dishwasher. 
The instruction booklet is straightforward and easy to understand. There really isn't much of a learning curve and this unit is basic and easy to use. It was a Walmart/Instant Pot collaboration (kudos to both companies) and uses the same name as the commercially available unit "Rio" which has more features like the Duo. The videos on YouTube are aimed at the full-feature Rio but don't be disappointed. You can still cook everything you need to in this unit. Get their app called "Instant Connect" for recipes.   
Lastly, this redesign is nice in black, is light, and takes up a bit less space. Worth every penny!

Amazing easy-to-use updated Instant Pot!

If you're like me, you don't want to spend all day over a hot stove. I didn't know how much I'd love having a pressure cooker, and now I don't know how I've lived without one. Rice cooks in three minutes! My kitchen stays hot year-round, and I love that I can cook with ease and stay cool while doing so. This is the perfect size for a small family, or a family of one, since many dishes can be frozen in individual servings.

Great time saver!

Really like that it cleans easily.  This has helped me make healthier meals in a short amount of time.  Chicken/veggies.  Egg dishes/ stews/ rice. Only thing is didn't really come with a booklet- you have to go online to get better instructions , tips and recipes .  When preparing some meals the one thing you have to keep in mind when timing/planning meals out is that depending on amount of liquid being use to cook on pressure cooker or steam setting - you have to wait up to 30 minutes for pressure to build before it begins the cooking cycle/timer.  After a few recipes I was able to guess.  Also, some recipes have you use the option to sear parts of meal (meats) or sautée vegetables in the pot itself- then deglaze etc… I find it easier to use my stovetop and then just add to pot and go right to cook cycle.

Time saving for healthy meals.

Cheaply made. First one stopped working after 3 months and thankfully I was able to return it. Unfortunately it's the only brand of pressure cooker on the market without other features and I had no choice but to buy it again. I loved the crockpot brand but stopped making it probably due to many lawsuits.

Not the greatest

This does not work anywhere near as fast as my old 1...which I amging back to. It does not have as many settings on it. Most importantly, it cooked or meal 1hr and 45 min longer than my old 1 to get the beans cooked . My old 1 oly takes 45 min altogether I was very disappointed.
