I bought this on a whim previously but have fallen so in love with this product I decided to order more. This cream cleanser is a nice balance of cleansing using moisturizing ingredients and not being overly greasy or uneffective. The scent is pleasant. Don't let it get in your eyes, may cause irritation. For the record my skin is combo but leans more towards dry. This product does wonders!

Cream cleanser that is great for dry/combo skin

I had a hard time finding the right product for me. Almost every product I tried, including Honest and IT products, left my face feeling tight. My face is sensitive, it dries out much more in the winter and I have combination skin. Forehead gets oily and the lower part of my face is closer to dry. This Burts Bees cleanser did not disappoint! My face feels clean and moisturized no matter the season, it smells great, and my face stays oil free the whole day! Try it. You'll be happy you did.

Love it! Best facial wash ive tried. I have dry combination of skin. Oily around the sides of face(highline. Cheeks) but very dry frontal (forehead. Nose) the face wash helps without creating more problems with my combination and smells great!

This cleanser goes on thick and sticks to my face but it does what it is supposed to do. It pulls the gunk out of my pores while infusing them with moisture. I have to say I very much like this as far as cleansers go but I don't use it everyday only on days when my face feels like it really needs a cleanser.

I picked up a travel size on a whim at the cash register. 2 or 3 days later my skin looked better and this was the only thing I had changed. This cleanser convinced me to use the same wash every morning, switched me over from foaming cleansers and started my love of Burts product. You won't be disappointed!

Where it all began

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been looking for a new line of face products that would be gentler on my skin. I'm prone to oily skin with a few blemishes so trying new products can be troublesome. The Intense Hydration line is impressive! Not only did I not break out, but the moisturizing qualities has helped combat the need for my skin to produce so much excess oil. The cleanser is my favorite and the smell is very soothing!

Perfect solution for new face product

Everything about this cleanser is a YES.
Where to even begin is the hardest question but like the bottle says... It delivers.
This was the first ever Burt's Bees product I've used and hasn't left my collection since. I call this one the best and ultimate top face cleanser for anyone who's a first for using Burt's Bees & uncertain about how their skin type will react or what skin type they even have. This cleanser is unbelievable. It really is. It saved my face which means it saved my life in its own way, seriously. The cream is silky but not too silky where it's slippery or more watery based, it's just perfect, and once applied, your skin gets nicely smooth and treated. The cream also has this slight iridescent glare in it. It's pretty. The scent is also incredibly pacifying!! It's a faint smell too but it's calming & lovely. Once you start washing your face you notice an intense moisture effect on or in your skin. There is a residue effect when you begin to wash it off, if you look carefully in your sink and as for residue on face... I haven't really noticed much but I do use another face wash after using this one. Kind of like a 5 step face wash routine. Other than that it does what it's supposed to, intensely moisturizer, immediately removes redness puffiness, and a clear appearance and feel to your skin. After using this for at least 2 days, you will begin to to see any bumps, and redness, irritation, and acne clear up. That fast. That easy. This one is the miracle magical face wash they have so far. It can even be the only face wash you can or could use and wouldn't even need anything else. Honestly. I'm 23 currently & have Combination skin type with high sensitivity. I've been using Burt's Bees Products for over a year and a half or more & am very pleased to have found a brand that really suits my skin. Their products have all succeeded greatly in changing my skin for the better and revealing my baby skin that's been fighting & surviving to show its beauty. I started breaking out intensely & suddenly when I started my Menstruation at 14 and it was a nightmare. For years, till I finally gave Burt's a try, I'd been tormented & in physical (face-wise) and emotional pain wondering when and if I'd ever see clear skin again. It was especially a struggle because as someone with an extreme irregularity cycle it is even harder and confusing for my body and it just shows obviously in my face (most especially chin area). With all that said and pointed out my combination skin type just makes things harder to control and keep certain parts of my face normal and not over dried and/or oily. It is just amazing. If you're looking for a cleanser whether it's your first or not... This is the one.

Does what it says REALLY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser. I initially got a free sample but I've been buying it ever since. It's perfect for dry Minnesota winters. I hope Burt's Bees never stops making it. It's creamy, removes my makeup well, smells great and leaves my face feeling clean and soft. An awesome product!

My favorite cleanser

I purchased this cleanser over the others because my skin is so dry and sensitive, especially in the colder months. I do like it, but it just feels a little greasy going on; I also don't get that 'fresh-feel' I like after washing my face until I follow up with my toner. I'd prefer a formula that lathers I think. Definitely hydrating though!

Just okay

The first time I tried this cleanser was on a makeup-free face, and my skin felt very hydrated and smooth after rinsing. However, the second time I tried it I had Burt's Bees BB cream applied, and all this product did was move the makeup around my face. It also left residue all over that refused to come off with water alone. I had to use a completely different cleanser to remove everything, and that is just unacceptable when this product's description clearly states that it "intensely hydrates skin while removing dirt, oil and makeup." I'll unfortunately only be using this in the mornings on a makeup-free face. If only it did what it claimed.. this would be a fantastic cleanser.

Very hydrating but does NOT remove makeup

I've had good luck with natural cream cleansers in the past but I've only been able to use this to take my makeup off. It leaves my skin feeling squeaky (not a good thing) and have to use a second cleanser to get rid of the weird film it leaves. I thought it was a weird reaction with it and my makeup so I tried using it just as a cleanser by itself on a makeup-less face and it still left a strange film on my skin. I double cleanse regardless but its so my skin is actually being washed after removing my makeup, not because the previous cleanser made my skin feel weird. 

The fragrance is really overpowering, which I think is the reason it makes my skin red and throbby. On top of all the oils they use in it, they add an additional fragrance which I don't understand, it makes it smell perfume-y which I'm sure some people like but its a little too much for me. Clearly other people like it but it just didn't work for me. I'm guessing I'm allergic to something in it.
