Inexpensive and it really works. A little agitated when setting up, just because this is my first ever. It doesn't really say much in the instructions. I just looked for videos and AI'ed it. If you have above ground pool with a sand filter pump and it has 2 B's, don't block one of the B's. Flow rate for the skimmer is the same. I put a netting inside the skimmer to catch everything. The fine gnats were slipping through. I also want to add, I feel like the pool expert lol crystal clear water no bugs or debris.

Must buy for above ground pool with no side skimmers!
If you have an above ground pool with no side skimmer this is a must have. I purchased an 18x48 metal frame intex pool last year, and my pool only has a side intake far below the water line. Which means any leafs or bugs that fall into the pool just stay floating on the surface or sink to the bottom. I can't tell you how many hours I spent using my net trying to fish everything out. I can't remember how I stumbled across this little beauty but I'm so glad I did. Now the directions that came with it were 100% clear to me, but I managed to get it put together and put inside my pool. When I put it in, I had several dead bugs and leaves floating around I didn't net them out I decided to see what this little gadget could do. I installed it around 6pm, when I got up at 7 the next morning my pool so clean and clear! Everything had been caught in the skimmer! This was well worth the money! If you have a pool with no side skimmer this is a MUST buy!

it arrived early. had it installed in 2 minutes. it works like a charm. gets the bugs, leaves and all the other top floating debris. it will clear the water in a matter of minutes. basket is easy to remove and clean. no problems with it staying attached to the top rail of my pool. no problems with the hose fittings. i like that i can move it around if needed. easy to remove and store away for the winter. best $27 ive spent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This skimmer works great. But make sure you order the skimmer socks to use with it.  Or else you will be emptying debris out every other day. I'm afraid I'm going to burn my sand pump out because debris is passing through this skimmer to my pumps skimmer basket and almost clogging it. So definitely go ahead and get the socks, so you're prepared from the start of installing this skimmer.

It catches so much. Worth the money!

Works great! Works with my Coleman 18x48 pool. Already notice a difference within the first hour. Was pretty simple to hook up.

I have owned one of these in the past and didn't know I needed a bigger pump to get the maximum amount of intake, go figure. 
.. A word of advice take the time to set it in the water properly, this can get a little frustrating but we'll worth the 5 minutes to dial it in

Best upgrade after your pump upgrade

I used this on my Intex 14'x42" round pool. Very effective. I did however have to plug up one of the two outlet ports to make sure there was enough suction. I'm using the Intex 1600gph pump, so even with the upgraded pump I still had to plug one outlet port. Not a problem though. The skimmer catches everything on top. I would very much recommend to everyone. For the price and efficiency.

Easy setup and very effective!

I would say a skimmer basket is a must have upgrade to the metal frame style pools. The filtration system they come with is lacking in a lot of areas. 
  This type of skimmer actually catches bugs and leaves before they float down to the bottom of the pool. I also keep my chlorine tablets in the basket to be sure the chlorine is being distributed evenly throughout the pool water. I wouldn't want to go without it. 
  Only issue with this system is I have a hard time getting it to stay installed on the pool frame upright. It always wants to float out a bit. I just have to go and fix it when maintenance the pool. Small annoyance, still worth having for the benefits and low cost.

Great skimmer for the price

Got to skim the surface of our stock tank pool. Clearly not the intended use (as smallest mounting bracket is still too high/big) but by using a clamp on the side, works well enough :)

It works, kinda. When the pump shuts off everything returns to the pool. I had to youtube videos to find out exactly how to set it up, including using the restriction on the other inlet. Nothing in the instructions said what to do with it.
