Very heavy. Should withstand the wind in our area. Also fits 2 size umbrella poles if the middle cap is removed. Buying 2 more.

Was impressed at the appearance. Very heavy, and since it will Hold the umbrella on a second floor deck, where it could be windy at times, I feel confident that it will hold the umbrella securely. Good value.

If you have a large pole diameter on your umbrella this product does that.

great for the wider post umbrella

Umbrella was in the stand in the closed position during a really high wind storm and stayed upright. I am ver impressed. Post threat perfectly to the base with no problems.

Very sturdy and nice looking too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the product and it works for me, but it must have been in the packaging too long because the white foam is stuck around the entire surface and around the bottom.  I scraped some of it off, but it still remains.  It is way to heavy for me to try return it so am keeping it because over time, it will probably come off on it's own and the umbrella holder is heavy and has an extension so it can be a stand alone umbrella.

The good thing is that it's very heavy so good in windy environments. But it rusts so leaves marks on our vinyl decking. If you buy this, use a rustolium spray paint to stop the marking.

Think twice before ordering

Top part thread broke off before umbrella was even put into it

Manufacturers defect, this should have not been shipped out to a customer. There was no threading on the item to insert the pole in. Fifty pounds is a lot to carry around and back to Walmart. Have not received my money for the return of this item yet. Why wasn't a return issued on the spot?!?! We order many items including lawn furniture from Walmart!!!

Item base was not manufactured correctly.

Do NOT buy this product. We were NOT able to assemble it. The post would not screw into the base. ( my husband is an engineer. It was not made properly) When we called the 1-800 number, they were useless!

Do not buy.

I am totally disappointed with this item. I ordered this same item from Amazon in April and was more than satisfied with it. This is not the same item as in the original picture. The original showed 2 knobs that screwed into a tube that screwed into the base from the top, not the bottom. What I received, screws in from the bottom and has only I knob and is very unstable. I am a widow and have no way of returning this 50 pound base.
