The bar of soap has changed - the name IVORY is only on one side and it looks to be added to (not one whole mold of soap), there’s a line, like a seam around the bar.

I am very disappointed with Ivory soap. It looks like lye has been added. It is no longer white. The bar is substantially smaller. It never had a fragrance, I love that, but now there's a faint odor or feel to it. It may not do animal testing in the process; but I prefer the Ivory soap of old.

This is no longer the Ivory soap I grew up with. It doesn't smell the same. Doesn't look the same. Doesn't lather the same. Really wish they would go back to the original formula. I would give it 0 stars if that was an option.

Not the same

Ivory has changed its 99 percent pure formula. It's not on the label any more however they are still  claiming that they have 140 years of trusted product. It's definitely not the same product that built that reputation. It always used to rinse clean. Now I can't get the soap film off my body. I don't trust it anymore therefore I won't be using it again. Back to pure glycerin for me

Ivory Soap

I have used this product my whole adult life and have loved it. Now it has changed and it marketed as the "original scent". The new bar is waxy, leaves a filmy finish and does NOT smell like the original. Silly, but it also does not float. The advertising is VERY misleading! Please bring back the actual original Ivory bar soap!

Not the Original!

As soon as I opened the package I knew this wasn't the same product I loved growing up. Firstly, I could hardly smell any fragrance, unless I literally put it against my nose. Secondly, what I could smell, was NOT the original, fresh, clean smell of Ivory soap I loved. The bars appearance isn't the same as the original, either. The original was bright white, clean, milky looking. This garbage looks plastic, like a mold of 2 offwhite pcs glued together. And it doesn't soap up the same. The fact that the packaging describes it as "Original Scent" is a lie.

Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.

A generic bar of lotion posing as the original which would otherwise be unremarkable if it was not yet another abominable example of a company abandoning a unique and long trusted product formulation in favor of reformulation by focus group, committee, and social media influence.

Just opened my new package of original ivory bar soap. It's not original. It's smooth and shiny and smells different. And it doesn't float anymore. Been using ivory soap for decades. Why would you change something for no reason? If something is more than 99% pure and millions of people use it, leave it alone. Remember when Coca-Cola changed their recipe? We all know what happened with that.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I should have read these review, before purchasing this non-original soap!!!! I just purhcase 10 bars of this useless soap. How many corner did you cut to make this crap? How much are you saving on the cost? just to sell it to us at a high price? and to lie to us about it being original? You people stated that you have been in business for over 140 years have you learned anything? If nothing was wrong with the original, you leave it alone. The only real reason you would change it, is to make it cheaper and sell at a high cost. It's the american way to make it cheap and sell high. This is proof!!!! Now, I can understand if, it's still the same and the cost went up... But to lie and say it the original!, knowing it's not!!, just to make a sell. Well that's down right fraud, there should be a class action sute.... Good luck with your cheap crappy soap...... 140 year down the drain...you people can not be trusted..

CHANGE THE NAME NOT ORIGINAL... NOT EVEN CLOSE..

Deceptive change, Did not let consumers know the formula changed.  Most companies say New Formula as a heads up.   smells weird now, lathers poorly now. rinses poorly now.
I have used ivory for decades.  No longer a 140 years trusted brand.
Looks like you gave away a lot of free soap to get positive reviews.  
Good Riddance, will be find a new brand.
