Very happy with this speaker. Definitely the loudest battery powered speaker on the market.
Deep bass, clear vocals and great battery life.
I Might even buy a second one. Great job JBL!

Party sound quality!

jbl.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OK, so this thing is big, feels solid as a tank, and it's heavy! Also, it SOUNDS big and heavy! This speaker will definitely bring the party. Not only is it capable of getting loud enough to cover a few city blocks with thumping bass, yet gloriously clear mids and highs, the light show is absolutely amazing! It even sounds great at lower volume levels, if you're in a smaller back yard setting. But again, if you want a big and bombastic block or pool party, the PartyBox 720 should definitely be your go to, if it's in your budget. The mic and guitar inputs work flawlessly, so if you want to use it for your karaoke setup, it will definitely fill that bill. The battery life seems really solid, I got 10+ hours at moderate volume level, and they also recharge quickly. With the option of hot swapping them, as well as being able to power directly while charging, the party can be endless. As I stated earlier, this thing is big and heavy, so it's going to take a little knocking around while you're moving it. That doesn't seem to be an issue in my use, so far, and as long as you're not stage diving off of it, or otherwise outright abusing it, it should be able to handle the occasional party foul.
I really don't see how you could go wrong with the PartyBox 720, if it fits your budget, it should definitely meet your party or quick and easy PA type needs.

Amazing party speaker!

I had the 320 and I was thinking I want more. Now I have the 720 in the back of a hatchback. Hits incredibly hard. Both speakers link together easily so now it's a concert.

RIDICULOUS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this speaker! Massive sound that delivers subtlety. Heard lots of background notes and things I haven't heard before from other speakers. It's big and needs the wheels to get it around. It easily comes up to my waist. And feels about 70 lbs. Easy to link to other JBL speakers thru Auracast or the JBL Partybox app. I've hooked up the JBL Partybox 110 and the Extreme 4 with littlw effort. Makes each room in the house sync and keeps the music consistent. Microphone and instrument controls are easily accessible from the top. And the app offers even more customization. My kids really love the party shoutouts and the airhorn. I can’t get them to stop.

Great customizable speaker that keeps party going!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unless you specifically need a speaker for large or outdoor events, this model is complete overkill for typical home use. The sheer power and volume it delivers is extraordinary—borderline excessive in smaller spaces. The lighting effects add a fun, vibrant touch that enhances the party atmosphere, and the addition of battery backup is a fantastic improvement. However, one feature I find disappointing—and would recommend removing altogether—is the built‑in sound effects.
Sound Quality
This speaker delivers the unmistakable JBL professional sound signature: slightly boosted bass that remains crisp and controlled. The bass is extreme yet impressively clean, never overpowering the mids and highs. I could never push the volume beyond 70% for fear of shaking my home apart. Despite the powerful low end, mids and highs still shine through with clarity—vocals, guitar plucks, and subtle details remain distinct and precise.
The JBL PartyBox app is a well‑designed companion, allowing easy control over source selection, EQ settings, bass boost, top‑panel adjustments, lighting, effects, and multi‑speaker pairing. Most functions are intuitive—except the sound effects. These sound flat, poorly mixed with the music, and are hard to hear at high volume. They must be held to activate, yet suffer from such noticeable latency that timing them to the beat is nearly impossible. Overall, this feature feels unnecessary and would have been better left out.
Lighting
The lighting design is excellent, with multiple customizable zones and effects. My kids especially enjoy watching the lights pulse in sync with their favorite songs. The diffused effect gives each pattern a smooth, unified appearance rather than showing individual LEDs—an important aesthetic win for a product called the PartyBox.
Battery
The inclusion of a battery transforms this speaker into a portable powerhouse. With two 99Wh batteries onboard, it offers hours of playtime, making it perfect for events without easy access to power outlets.
Karaoke
I was unable to fully test the karaoke function due to the lack of a compatible microphone. However, the presence of both XLR and 1/4" mic inputs suggests that it is well equipped for high‑quality vocal performance.
Final Thoughts
This speaker is a remarkable feat of power, clarity, and design. While its full potential is best realized in large venues or outdoor spaces, it remains an outstanding option for anyone seeking a loud, clear, and versatile system. For now, I’ll be enjoying it at small neighborhood gatherings—but rest assured, it’s capable of much, much more.

This thing is INSANE!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This speaker checks every box for me. The battery life is phenomenal given the power it puts out. The ability to hook a guitar up is a plus. The lights create the best show and also I do appreciate the ability to plug it up when I have to close go an outlet

Beat in sound for sure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL PartyBox 720 is an absolute beast of a portable speaker, crafted to take your parties and gatherings to the next level with its stunning sound and eye-catching lighting. If you’re a true party lover, this speaker is designed just for you, offering an exhilarating audio experience along with standout features.

Sound Quality:
When it comes to sound, the PartyBox 720 doesn’t hold back. It pumps out powerful, crystal-clear audio with a punchy bass that easily fills up large rooms or outdoor areas. Thanks to its 10-inch woofer and multiple tweeters, you get a well-rounded sound profile that’s perfect for everything from casual music listening to full-on DJ sets.

Lighting Effects:
One of the coolest features is its customizable light show. The built-in LED lights dance in sync with your music, creating an electrifying party vibe. And if you’re not in the mood for lights, you can easily adjust or turn them off.

Connectivity:
With Bluetooth, USB, and aux inputs, the PartyBox 720 offers a range of connectivity options. Plus, it has inputs for microphones and guitars, making it a fantastic choice for live performances or karaoke nights.

Portability & Design:
While it’s designed to be portable, it’s on the larger and heavier side, so lugging it around for long periods might take some effort. However, its rugged build means it can handle outdoor adventures without a hitch.

Battery Life:
You can enjoy up to 8 hours of playback on a full charge, which is perfect for keeping the party alive without the hassle of constant recharging—especially great for outdoor events.

Additional Features:
The speaker also comes with a DJ pad for mixing, and its splash-proof design adds an extra layer of durability for those outdoor gatherings.

Verdict:
If you’re in the market for a high-powered, feature-packed speaker that can rock large parties and outdoor events, the JBL PartyBox 720 is a fantastic option. Its blend of powerful sound, customizable lighting, and versatile inputs makes it a standout choice among portable party speakers.

Beast of Speaker - Perfect Party Companion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As the title says, this thing is an absolute powerhouse that can be used for large parties or outdoor concerts. It’s pretty massive & heavy, but the setup was effortless, Bluetooth connection was strong, and the sound quality blew me away. I also love that it could be used as both a regular speaker and as an amp! The bass is bold and clean (especially with Bass Boost on), and even at max volume there’s no distortion. It’s built to last with solid materials, sturdy handles, and wheels that make it easy to move. The LED light show adds a fun touch that changes the vibe.

For me, this speaker added a lot of convenience. I no longer need to hook up multiple smaller speakers or deal with power cords everywhere. The battery easily lasts through long events and I was honestly surprised that it could be used wirelessly with replaceable batteries, if you want to extend the time playing without being connected to an outlet. If you host events, this is a perfect fit. My only tip is to expect it to be large and loud, but that’s part of what makes it so impressive.

Absolute powerhouse as both Speaker & Amp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cannot express enough how much of a powerhouse this PartyBox is. In all honesty I only saw myself turning the volume up to full blast a handful of times because at 1/4 and above is more than enough for any decent size gathering. The pair of 9” subwoofers in combination with the tweeters deliver that JBL signature sound that fills up any space you wheel this speaker into. I recently used this for my sister in law’s birthday party and all the adults along with my nieces and nephews found themselves just staring at the lightshow at times. Which can be cycled through many different presets on the speaker itself, or get customized effects through the JBL PartyBox app. Along with customizing you also get EQ calibration, mic controls, sound effects, along with other fine tuning capabilities. My only complaint for lack of a better word is that the sound effects were at about a 2-3 second delay at times. But I’m sure that would be mitigated through a software update soon. Also, even with knowledge of the specifications on this speaker, it’s a lot taller and heavier than I thought in person. So might want to take that into consideration for storage and transportation purposes.

All in all, I cannot recommend this speaker enough for anyone that hosts a lot of parties, DJ’s, or just likes to be the person in the group that brings the party over!

Blows any other portable speaker out of the water!

I Got this speaker as a gift brand new and right out the box the side LED strip doesn't work. I've tried every single method of trouble shooting and am disapointed that such a high end speaker has this issue. I hope I dont receive a refurbished speaker and can get mine swapped out with a non faulty model.
