Ive been using Punky Colour Purple for years and it was my absolutely favorite color. I've never felt more like myself than when I have freshly dyed hair in this shade. I've read a lot of reviews of this dye that complain it doesn't quite turn out a true purple which isn't wrong but it was my go-to product to get the particular intense vibrant pinkish-purple I was looking for. I've tried a lot of other purple and pink dyes (and combos thereof) but Punky Colour Purple was the only one that delivered the sort of electric fuchsia shade I loved so much. I took a break from this product recently to use up some odds and ends of old dye and when I finally reordered my beloved Purple I was excited to get back to my perfect shade. I noticed that the packaging was different and the dye looked a little darker than I was used to but I trusted that the product I'd relied on for so long wouldn't let me down. I applied this dye over somewhat faded pink hair as I usually do and left it on for several hours as I usually do. But when I rinsed it out instead of my favorite shade of bright purple-pink what I have now is a gross burgundy color that's so dark it's almost black at the ends. It's staining purple on my hands so I know there's some purple in there somewhere but what I've got on my head is not at all what I'm used to from this product. Maybe it's a reaction with the other dye that I used previously but I've applied Punky Colour on top of a lot of other products and it's never looked like this. My best guess is that this dye was reformulated but if so the new product is much worse than the old one. Not only am I deeply disappointed with how my hair turned out I'm really heartbroken that I've apparently lost my favorite dye. I don't like the results I got this time around but they'll fade soon enough. Unfortunately now I have to go on the hunt for another dye that will look half as nice as Punky Color Purple used.

Ive been using Punky

This stuff was awesome! I had dyed my hair three colors and it was fading badly. So I put this over it the colors were so beautiful and vibrant!! It also smells like berries! I was able to keep my hair a gorgeous blue/teal for almost a year by redoing it every few months. I'll definitely be using this again and again!!

Amazing product :) it really dye your hair within minutes  the only problem is that makes a big mess too ! You have to be really careful for not to touch anything otherwise will leave stains behind :) And I would totally recommend using gloves to apply  if you don't want your hands to be Dark Blue for couple days

Was okay i used it to tone my hair though i didn't use it to dye my hair. Didn't work all that great to tone it because obviously that's not what it is for but it did a great job dying it purple like it was supposed too. If you use right after you bleach your hair absorbs too much of it and it dyes it.

Punk hair dye SMELLS AMAZING first off. It really does. It faded SO quick. The blue I n the pic was not punky BUT it WAS dyed legit 1 week after the pink and that's the fade difference. It kind of painted my tub EVERY bath. But the biggest thing was the damage done to my hair was absolutely irreversible. It just came out in clumps every shower. And I will say that was both colors. The other was a manic panic product fyi. They both did incredible damage to my hair. By the time the product had ALL finally washed out my hair is about 4-6 inches shorter and it's just dry and frizzy. The only soft part are the roots where it's started growing out and I am refusing to dye it until its long enough to cut the damage off. And nether company had any regard for what their product had done. Punk hair dye SMELLS

I switched from Splat because it stained everything from the shower walls to my daughter's ears to Punky which was recommended and had been a blessing until this one, Midnight Blue. I let my daughter pick her own colors and she wanted a really dark blue! This stained her face where it ran down when I was rinsing it and her stomach, shower walls, etc.! So far this is the only one that stained like this so I'll keep using Punky, just not this one!
