I destroyed 2 disc so far but it wasn't the disc cleaners fault. There's a learning curve to it. I would suggest that you give some time between each step to allow the disc to cool. I clean my buffing pads when I'm done every day because there were hardened peace's left on them from the last time I used them. Before I started cleaning them I would get swirl marks. Hope this helps.

I learned about this disc repairer from a company that thinks about their customers first! And that is now why I can go around finding discs that are "unreadable," repair them and play them like they were brand new again! I just went out and bought a bunch of PS2 games at 75% off and less, most of them wouldn't even start playing. Now all of them work like brand new and I didn't have to buy a brand new upgrade system or pay $50-$90.00 for each new game! Also when I go to the library and try to watch one of their scratched up DVDs, I can just run it through this repairer and it will be like brand new again. It is well worth the money to have it and it doesn't take up much space, just be smart in keeping the products safe, clean and out of reach of kids!

Save money on old times!

I have scratched DVDs that I've held onto for years and years knowing someday I'll find something that actually works. Wow I was absolutely amazed at the results. My girls act like they just got a bunch of new movies cause they all work. Took quite a long time to do all 60 but so worth it. Not much help on bluray so I'm going to think twice about buying bluray movies. I do 10 seconds on course, 10 seconds on fine, 1 minute on buffing and 20 seconds on last step and they come out looking brand new. You won't be disappointed

Absolutely the best

I recieved my JFJ Easy Pro cleaning and scratch removing kit and I immediately bagan to use it. i bought 2 boxes of dvd from an associated becuase they were all scrached for $40. The dvds included classics such as Scareface, The Aviator, and Series such as the Supranos box sets season 1-4. Total about 70 titles half of which were box sets which had from 3-6 dvd in the set. As i stated all of the dvds were scratched and in bad shape. As I began to use the JFJ Pro it did take some trial and error to find asystem that worked for me. But by about the 10 dvd I had the system pretty much down. it is time consuming to attempt to clean that many dvds but it works amazingly well. scratches were removed from the dvds and the looked brand new.

On the plus side i was able to repair every dvd I used the machine on. I rarely had to use the sandpaper even thought some dvds were scratched through and through. I just used serval cycles on the machine with the white and blue solutions until i had a scratch free dvd. The only down side I found was that it uses a lot of the white solution.

Overall I am totally pleased with my purchase and would definately recommed this item to anyone needing dvd repair.

works very well and well worth the cost

I was very hesitant to purchase this machine to remove scratches in DVDs. I wasn't sure if it was worth it as a local store will fix DVDs for $1 each. Well my son has special needs and loves his movies and wii games but unfortunately has scratched almost all of his collection. This machine fixed wii games that were unplayable before. The price of 2 or 3 games is equivalent to the cost of this machine. I have purchased the same game more than once after they were scratched. Now I can fix them myself. The machine is relatively easy to use and now that I have fixed several discs I have it down to about 3 minutes. My only suggestion would be to include more sand paper. I am happy with this purchase so far!

This machine does work and fix scratches!

The setup was pretty much plug and play. Very easy instructions. I have saved about 2 dozen discs already, which were not functioning at all. I am quite pleased with this purchase, especially considering that I had very low expectations. Not a gimmick at all - very nice little machine.

So far, so good!

It brought several CD's back to playable condition, mostly those with light scratches, had a couple with medium scratches as well. Had one that somehow got broken on the edge, not sure if it was that way before or if it occurred during repair. Had an Allman Bro.'s CD I loaned to a friend that was unplayable when it came back that now plays all the way thru with no problems, so quite happy.

It works O.K.

I've only had to opportunity to use this a couple of times so far. The discs I was trying to repair didn't have deep scratches but the games would freeze up prior to running them through the Easy Pro. After repair/cleaning they played like new. I haven't tried removing deep scratches yet.
It has worked as advertised. So far! Far better than another disc repair machine I had years ago.

So Far So Good

Works well, but be careful. I Used the sandpaper too many times and too long on one DVD that I wiped apparently wiped out all the video files. Start out very conservatively as the instructions say.

It worked great for most discs. However, even when using the finest grit sandpaper on the shortest time setting, it ruined every disc put to it. It would burn a ring around the middle and render the disc useless. Several rather valuable discs met their demise in this manner.

With the uncertainty of being able to use it safely on expensive discs, I chose to return the machine. I'm purchasing a commercial unit instead.

For a machine that will safely take out light scratches, this is a good machine. But with the way the sandpaper ruins discs even on the lightest, shortest setting you have to wonder why it is even included.

The supplies are also expensive and to use as directed they don't last very long.
