I am thrilled with my purchase. The cord is nice and long I can listen to my music and still move around the room. The cord only runs to on side so there is less chance of me messing it up. The sound quality is fantastic. I can differentiate between little nuances. I could not be happier.

Great set of affordable headphones

I bought these headphones recently from Walmart, and I must say, I cannot imagine a better set of cans for $30. They are solid, well made, and despite their size, they're fairly light. After spending a few hours burning them in, I find the quality of the sound to be excellent. The lows, mids, and highs are well balanced, clean, and strong. If you're a bass-head, this might not be the set for you. The bass is clean and well-defined, but not overwhelming, which is just the way I like it. I'd also suggest that these aren't the phones for plugging into your ipod and going for a run. They're very large, with a long cord, and they're made quite simply for listening to good music at home or the office. I find them to be comfortable, and they do a pretty good job of isolating you from outside noise. I'd suggest you listen to them through your receiver or perhaps use a headphone amplifier for best sound quality. All in all, I think these are the very best cans you can buy for less than $100, or maybe for less than $150 for that matter.

Great Quality and Value

I didn't need to pay big bucks to get great sound.  They do perform as well as others reported and they are very comfortable. They didn't claim to block room noise and that is accurate, I can hear someone speaking to me across the room quite well when the volume is down.  I'm happy I bought  them.

As good as they "sounded"

If you can find a better full size headphone for $30.00, buy it. These aren't for Rap or Hip- Hop. These cans were made to reproduce REAL music. You'll need to burn them in for at least 50 hours in order to hear them at their best, but once you do, sit back with your favorite album and enjoy! Walmart's price is the lowest you'll find anywhere for these very highly recommend phones. If you're looking for the best headphones for the money, look no further.

They're Big, Ugly & FANTASTIC!!!

The first thing you will notice is that these headphones are BIG! Really Big, but beautiful! They are comfortable to wear and the sound is exceptional, especially the bass. Music and vocal reproduction is accurate and clear and these headphones fit extremely well, with good cushioning around the head and ears. This is a "heavy-duty" durable headphone made of sturdy materials, which includes a long heavy-duty cord. Please don't let the size scare you! They are not heavy, and although you might look like a space alien compared to those who walk around with their sleek headphones or ear buds, be assured that they will not be experiencing the quality sound that you will be enjoying with these "monsters".
I bought these headphones for my computer which is equipped with a powerful Soundblaster sound card; thus the sound reproduction is superb. I do not believe an Ipod, mp-3 player, or cell phone with mp-3 can generate enough power to operate the JVC HARX700 to its full capacity, so please consider this before you purchase.

My recommendation: Buy these headphones before the price increases, or the company ceases production of this model. You will be happy you did.

Big and Beautiful

These phones are excellent in sound and comfort. I am a Classical musician and therfore listen to a lot of symphonic music. The ranges are good without too much bass. I want to be able to hear all the nuances in an orchestra. These deliver. The earphones are comfortable which allows for long listening time. More than ample cord. The headphones look heavy but are light . I especially like the piece that crosses your head....comfortable. Highly recommended.

Better than expected

I got this on sale at WalMart site to store and even if I paid double the price it would still be worth it. Granted, headphones or speakers are only going to sound as good as your receiver allows - so sound quality starts there.

These sound great and fit really well. They are big as the cups fit over your ears with lots of room for sound (and your ears don't get hot). Given the fine design with the top mesh pad they don't feel big and are very, very comfortable. Bass, treble and all sound great! In this day and age electronics must be small to be popular, well don't believe that - Go for it !!

Feels and Sounds Great !!!!

This is a substantial headphone for the offered price. Sound quality is good for the price. This has pretty rave reviews, but I am not sure I would rate that high for following reasons.

I am used to open back design and this is closed, so it does not sound as good as my other open back headphone, it feels more congested.

Too much pressure on the ears/head. Despite having large earcups it is still feels tight because it does not rest evenly around the ear.

Because earcups does not breathe well, in less than an hour, it sweats.

Good sound quality- Headband too tight

I'm happy with this product because it gives great stereo sound with nice bass and keeps the outside noise out. Time fly so fast on my off days from work when I use this product and lay on my bed because the cord is long enough, plus the material is well built which should last for some time. I just bought it so only time will tell but so far so good :) Originally, I was going to buy a Target headphone product but they have terrible customer service which hire teens that don't care about customers at all with an attitude issue. I buy cash and can spend thousands of dollars in one order so It does not face me to spend money but i have standards and decide who is worth investing in. worth the money

After doing extensive research into headphones under $50, I settled on this JVC model. I was very excited to have a nice set of headphones that I could use all day at the office. The first thing I noticed is that the headphones are actually semi-closed. Some reviewers will tell you that this is insignificant, but it made for an awful listening experience. Imagine holding a sea shell up to your ear; you "hear the ocean" when certain ambient sounds resonate in the chamber. This effect also applies to semi-closed headphones. The constant hum of the HVAC system in my office was amplified in these headphones and made extended use almost unbearable. Aside from this, I was not impressed in the slightest by the out-of-box quality. Music sounded very artificial, and there was a noticable clicking sound when tones changed in the music.
Thanks to Walmart for letting me return these.
