[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jacquard iDye is a hot water dye powder in a proportioned soluble packets for use in the washing machine or on the stovetop in hot water for natural fabrics like cotton, linen and rayon. iDye packets dissolve in the water so you never have to touch the dye or get caught "red handed." I've tried the less expensive, more recognized brand but [like so many other products] it's changed and I  ended up having to buy two or three bottles to try to come close to the color I want.  The color that's shown on the iDye package is the color you'll get every time. In today's economy with just one bottle of iDye I have garments that looks as good as new.

i dyed a few things but the first ones that went in came out the best. I'm going to buy one more for a tinted black shirt.

did what it was suppose to do

I use this dye for dyeing disc golf discs. This is the best dye to that heavy black saturation. Highly recommend!

Best Black Dye!

Works great, covered the purple just right, and was simple to use.

It will do!

The color "intensifier" leaves an oily residue on the fabric and a chemical odor that lingers even after washing. Did not work well to due my polyester fabric, just tinted it a little bit darker and ruined to feel and smell of it. I've had better luck with the green dye on a slightly different stnthetic fabric, but the black did not come out as expected.

Does not not dye polyester black, its more like a shade of green but definitely no where close to black. Waste of money

Used this to dye polyester throws from grey to black for our couch. No matter how many times I wash and dry them in even the hottest water, the black dye comes off on everything. Now, they will be thrown away as the money spent on all of the dye packets was, too.

Not pleased.

It only dyes to a dark silver color, not black. on top of that the odor is awful and it kept foaming too much.

Don't buy

I returned this package since it says you need to boil the clothes.
