Oh my goodness, if you like rum, this is the fruit cake for you. Just received our 2nd cake and it is as moist as the 1st. If you don't try this it's your loss. The cost is worth it, having to go thru Customs etc.

This cake was very good! Dark, rich, boozy and flavorful.  I found the texture much too smooth for my tastes, but many people like a pudding-like consistency for their black cake. I'm squarely in the slightly grainy crumb camp.  I also prefer some chucks of fruit in my black cake, whereas this cake had none.  Though not 100% to my preferences, there was nothing wrong with the cake. It just isn't like Auntie Used to Make. Since her passing, this is the next best thing. 

I'll definitely buy it again.
