I haven't worn makeup for a couple of years due to an illness, so I researched products that would complement my complexion and not look cakey. So far I am absolutely in love with the whole line. I am still going through a learning curve, but definitely choose the best product for aging/dry and redness! I use the loose base over the liquid minerals foundation for additional moisture and luster!

I never wore face make-up because I hated the way it felt on my skin until my friend recommended Jane Iredale. This powder is perfect for me because it evens out my skin tone but doesn't feel like I'm even wearing make-up. 

Keep in mind that it's a fairly light powder, so I wouldn't use it for significant coverage. I (fortunately) don't have acne or any other significant discoloration I need to cover.

The only face make-up I'll use

I've been using Amazing Base Warm Sienna over my Radiant Liquid Minerals foundation for over 4 years.  It gives my face a warm, even, youthful glow. I am in my sixties but people think I'm in my forties! It also protects my face from overexposure to the sun. I am so very pleased with how it enhances my appearance.

I've been challenged to find a soft, natural coverage that works with my maturing skin. Amazing Base SPF 20 is perfection! It smooths on like silk, is not heavy but incredibly light AND coverage is flawless. I feel I get full coverage but lightweight and seamless. I have finally found the real deal!

It's very nice to receive a quality product. I think I picked the right color; it makes me feel good. I am glad I took the splurge and tried something new. I was not disappointed with JI. It goes on smooth and has medium coverage, not strong and the makeup is not heavy.

Freshens Up A Look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use your make up on recommendation from my dermatologist to assist with my roseacea.  It has been a tremendous help in keeping my skin in better shape and less red.  I have had many complements on my make up since I started using your products.

wonderful product

I've been using this product for around 7 years now. It's been so good for my skin. I've tried so many other expensive products and all they did was irritate my skin and cause break outs. I love that Jane iredale uses high quality minerals (boron nitride) vs. (Bismuthoxychloride) also a mineral but irritating to the skin. I love it's ability to go on light or later for full coverage. Amazing product!  As a Skincare professional if I could afford to carry this line in my spa I totally would!!  Maybe one day.

I love the loose power

I bought Amazing Base Loose Powder in Golden Glow. This is really amazing...it does not crease or look visible on my older skin, yet evens out redness and gives coverage while looking natural! In the late 80s through late 90s I was a National Makeup Artist and trainer for a high end top international French cosmetic company. I can tell you nothing compares to Jane Iredale Makeup. I would recommend this for any age group.

Fantastic on older skin!

I have Jane Iredale loose mineral powder makeup for over 15 years. I use a makeup brush to put it on and it gives a flawless finish making your pores look smaller. I then set it with a fine mist of water and it gives a glowing  to my skin.  I have broken blood vessels on and around my nose as well as my cheekbones (bummer), and it covers them. I have my husband using this mineral powder because it evens out his skin tone.  I have tried samples of a few other brands and for me they don't compare to Jane Iredale. This is the very best.

My Favorite Makeup

I have used the pressed powder in the past and loved it, but decided to give the loose a try. It goes on smoothly, and I find a fluffy brush works best. But...i also need to reevaluate my color because Latte (which had always been my color!) now goes on too dark. But, that's not anything wrong with the product!

So natural looking!

I have used this color before, so it matched fine, but I usually get the pressed powder. The coverage with the loose powder feels cakey to me. I also feel that a lot of product gets wasted. There is a lot of product in the air after I swirl my brush in the lid and it ends up all over my counter. I try to minimize agitation to prevent the extra powder in the air and on the counter, but it is definitely messier than the pressed powder. I much prefer the pressed powder over the loose powder.
