It's very heavy so can sometimes make cleaning a little harder but definitely worth it. We use mineral oil to seal the wood which seems to do just fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this for free in return for my honest opinion. Let me start this by saying: I was SO EXCITED to get this. We cut a lot of fruits and veggies in our house and this thing is amazing for that. It's huge, so it gives me more space to use. It's gorgeous and seems very durable. Maintenance is pretty easy. They recommend using their oil, but I use regular food grade mineral oil on my wood boards. It also has nice cut out handles so you're less likely to drop it. I'm so in love with this board and cannot say enough good things about it. It's definitely changed my mind on wood boards (I have a Pioneer Woman Acacia board and it's definitely not as great of quality). Obviously, don't use it to cut meat because that can introduce nasty bacteria that can get deep into the wood. 10 out of 10 wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a new board.

It was actually pretty heavy but you can tell it's of excellent quality. It's not hard to maintain either just a little warm water and the absolute smallest amount of soap will clean it right off.

Amazing cutting board

This thing is HEAVY! I am a smaller woman and have to put in significant effort to lift it. The size is the only con, but only because I live in an apartment with little counter space and a tiny sink that will make this difficult to wash. If you have the space for it then it is a great option. I am used to using cheap, small cutting boards so this one is a cooking luxury. I am able to store multiple cut items at once on it, making meal prep a breeze. John Boos brand has impressed me and I will look into more of their products to add to my kitchen.
