I have been using Go Blonder for years. Over the years my hair has been getting to be a darker shade of blonde and this just lightens it up as much as I want.

Good product

First off, I've tried many many products on my hair to keep the multi-tonal blonde I've had for years. My natural hair is a dark blonde (which I do love) and right now it has traces of my dark blonde underneath (closer to my neck) with lots of dark golden tones and buttery to light blonde highlights. But I hate having to colour my hair often.
This spray is the single most valuable product on the market. It lightened my hair all over and made it a beautiful sunny blonde like never before, it was truly captivating. I will continue to use this as often as I can before I feel I have to colour my hair. Trust me when I say dark blonde, by winter time it looks more light brown. This spray was just perfect!
I also use it with the go blonder shampoo/conditioner. John Frieda you saved blondes!!!:)

I absolutely LOVE this product. After three uses, my roots completely lightened up and blended in with my other highlights. The results look professionally done, and I was asked by at least 10 people if I had been to the hairdressers. It is a great alternative to paying for expensive highlights every month. Best natural lightening product

Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray is AMAZING!!! I have been trying to get my hair back to a desired shade of blonde for several months, and I have finally found something that works! I immediately saw change the first day I used the product and a significant lightening in the colour of my hair after only 3 uses. Both my roots and colour treated hair now blend together perfectly to create an overall beautiful sun kissed look. I Highly recommend this easy to use, fast acting product.

This product works!

I have been waiting for a product which really truly matches my roots to my highlights for so long, I am simply ecstatic about the results!
The colour is natural looking, blends perfectly, is a breeze to aply, and best of all, it doesn't leave your hair feeling over worked or damaged! I loved the results and highly recomend this product.

Quick and natural!

Please don't discontinue this, it has never damaged my hair and there's many ladies and gentlemen who love its results. Don't listen to the people who don't use it properly, I have used it for almost 10 years and it has NOT ONCE damaged my hair and it has made my hair very light. I cannot find it in stores anywhere in Ontario please don't discontinue this I have nothing to replace it.

So I have naturally blonde hair that has faded to dirty blonde over the years. I use this product no more than once a week until I get my desired colour and then touch up every once and a while when I see roots. I see a lot about how this damages your hair, and while that is true because this is a bleach product, there is a way to prevent it! My hair is down to almost my waist and its the healthiest its ever been.

Here are some tips I can offer:
- When using this product make sure you get tangles out of your wet hair BEFORE you use it so that you're not pulling on your hair. 
- In the shower use a moisturizing shampoo and condition (even if you have oily hair), I use the shea moisture retention shampoo. 
- Use a leave in conditioner every time you wash, I use the shea moisture hydrate & repair leave in (the light blue spray)
- Make sure to tone! Since this is a bleach product it WILL make your hair brassy. I use the OGX purple drops in my shampoo because they aren't as damaging as regular purple shampoo. This will also help to make your hair lighter and brighter!
- Try not to use a ton of heat on your hair, wait until its about 80% dry to blow dry on medium heat or use the sun to help you develop the colour instead! 
- Give your hair some time to repair itself between applications, use masks (i really like the shea moisture manuka honey one) 
- silk pillowcases and silk scrunchies help with breakage as well :) 

Thats all the advice I can think of right now! 

I hope this helps people who are debating buying this product, I believe its worth it only if you know how to properly use it without causing irreversible damage!!

LOVE THIS PRODUCT

At first I was skeptical about using this product on my hair since the instructions directly states to not use it if you are a brunette or have darker hair. But I used it anyway and it looks like I dyed my hair to a lighter amber brown. I swear this stuff works better on brunettes who want a light natural sun kissed look. And it only costs 10 dollars.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) i received this product for free for testing purposes. it's a super interesting concept, it makes your hair lighter very gradually after applying heat to it. i was nervous to use it at first, but it made my already highlighted hair look good and a lot brighter between hairdresser appointments! i would recommend it to someone who doesn't want a drastic change, but more of a gradual one!

I have dark blonde hair which lightens naturally in the sun. I started using Go Blonder to achieve lighter blonde hair without having to sit outside. For the first few months it worked great, i touched up my roots every 3 weeks or so, and the blonde was nice and sunny. It always took about 3 times to get the brassiness to go away, but then it would be a nice shade.

After about 4 months I noticed my hair texture was incredible fragile, damaged, and almost gummy feeling when wet. When not using the spray I was letting it air dry as well as using deep conditioners.
Last month I decided I had enough of it and went to a salon to dye my hair a dark blonde/light brown in order to just grow out the damaged parts. Suffice to say, my hair turned a dark purple. There is something in the Go Blonder spray that reacted chemically with the dye to turn my most damaged hair purple. There were no purple components to the dye my stylist used, my roots were a nice dark blonde, while the rest was this terrible dark brown/purple. The texture was still destroyed and gummy, so the other day I had to make the decision to cut my long hair off into a pixie cut.

DO NOT USE THIS. It will seem amazing at first, but WILL destroy your hair eventually, and even if you can live with the damaged, gummy texture if you try to dye the damaged parts, it will react chemically.
Extremely costly mistake.
