My opinion regarding this product, after using it, I recommend this treatment better than the spray, because the spray gives a good result with roots, but the other parts of the hair still dry contrariwise the in shower lightening treatment keep all the hair soft shiny , and it's give me a very natural look, at the end i would like to say i love this product sheer blonde and the three products works very well for me , it makes my hair shiny , bright and silky.

I was skeptical to try this product at first. I was worried of it damaging my hair but I absolutely loved it. I received this product to try for free. I have natural blonde hair and this still seemed to brighten by hair a bit. When I put the treatment in my hair I was worried that it was going to brighten my hair too much as it kind of smells like hair dye, however it brightened my hair without being too noticeable.

brightens hair but not too much

I love John Frieda products. Seriously. I am always getting compliments on how bright my blonde is. People frequently ask if I got my hair done again recently, but the truth is, I am just using John Frieda blonde products to keep my hair looking fierce between touch ups. Feeding my Blonde Addiction

I have box dyed hair (I generally use the lightest blonde shade offered) that has about a half inch of dark blonde roots. I was curious to see how light this product would make my roots, and it only lightened them about one shade, give or take. It did brighten the rest of my hair, but I wouldn't use this product as a replacement for hair dye (though it doesn't advertise itself as such.)

I am interested in trying this product again and leaving it on longer. I still think this is a product worth trying, especially if you don't want to use a box dye and just want to subtly lighten your hair; or you could use this to refresh dyed hair, particularly if you have less or lighter roots than I do. I also recommend following it up with John Frieda's Go Blonder Lightening shampoo and conditioner!

Subtly lightens

Regular hair dye damages my hair pretty badly because my hair is so fine. This treatment smelled pretty strongly of hair dye but felt my gentle on my hair. It is only on your hair for a short time but it did lighten my hair and perfectly blended my slightly darker roots to the rest of my hair. It did make my hair feel a bit rough once it was rinsed out so I followed with conditioner and my hair felt fine. I really love the natural lightened look this product achieves with out any noticeable damage to my hair.

Good alternative to standard hair dye.

I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I get my hair professionally highlighted every couple of months, but my hair grows fast so I like to lighten the roots at home between appointments! This product is by far the fastest and easiest I have tried for this purpose. It applies and washes out similar to a shampoo, leaving your hair permanently a shade lighter as it claims. You can focus the product on the roots to make them less stark, but the bottle comes with enough to cover your hair from root to tip if you want an all over lighter appearance. Overall I would recommend this product for lightening your hair in between professional treatments, or if you want a natural "sunkissed" look! #contest #MyJohnFrieda

Fast and easy for lightening the hair between professional treatments

I have a balayage, with dark roots and blonde ends, therefore it might be difficult for me to tell how effective the product was. Overall, I would probably try it again, but maybe hold it for longer than 5 minutes. 
Also, not sure if the company tests on animals, but if they do, I will most likely not purchase their products again.

Unsure whether it has had an effect on my hair

I received this product in an #Influenster voxbox #contest, and I'd have to say that it works really well. It made my hair noticeably lighter and less brassy, which is perfect for between toning appointments. I'd recommend that if you have super long and thick hair that you buy two bottles just to make sure you have enough product to cover all of your hair.

Great lightening

This definitely worked to brighten my blonde, however if you have damaged hair or overly-bleached hair (as the package says), do not use this product. It will dry out your hair. Works great when you can't make it into the salon to tone out the brassiness.

Definitely Brightens Blonde

My natural hair color is a dirty blonde color and I have added highlights to my hair for years. I had some root growth and I was hoping that this product would help me get a little extra time in between salon visits. It is recommended to leave this product on for 5 minutes but I left mine in for 8 to hopefully get more of a brightening effect. Unfortunately, this product did nothing for my hair in terms of lightening it. Also, the scent of this product was terrible and left my hair feeling very dry. I really did want to love this product but unfortunately I have to give it two thumbs down.
