I have several kiddos.  They absolutely love this set.  I will tell you that 96 blocks doesn't go very far.  We have 3 sets.

I really believe this gift is going to be well loved. However,  the packing was in a big cardboard box. I wouldn't mind paying more money, and having it in a proper case to store the pieces in.
