[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mattel once again delivers by adding a very cool species to their lineup. The sculpt and detailing are impressive, especially with the textures across the body and head. While the action feature provides interactive play, the spin wheels on the back stand out as a bit of an eyesore, and the pull-up barcode feels intrusive.

Proportionally, the head might be slightly oversized and the tail somewhat short—but that's just nit-picking. The extendable back spikes aren't my cup of tea aesthetically, but they likely add fun play value for kids and more hands-on collectors.

Paint application is surprisingly strong here. Mattel isn't always known for top-tier deco, but this figure sports a pleasing paint job with no obvious signs of cost-cutting. There are two known variants: one sporting a slightly paler shade, yet both are visually appealing.

At nearly 6" tall and 14" long, the Mapusaurus has solid shelf presence. All in all, this is an easy figure to recommend—well-designed, fun for those who enjoy play features, and definitely collectible.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My child loves dinosaurs since they were tiny. They cannot seem to get enough. When we got this dinosaur, my child was instantly in love. This giant Mapusaurus stands about six and a half inches tall and around fourteen inches long. The arms move in all directions at the shoulder joint. The arms are also made of a softer plastic that will not brake easily. This dinosaur is able to stand up on its own pretty easily. My child loves to press the button under the tail for the dinosaur have its epic evolution by having its spikes go higher. Another fun feature my child enjoys is when you roll the action mechanism to activate the mouth and head movements. The texture of this Mapusaurus is very detailed and fun. My child loves to play with this Jurassic World dinosaur with all their other dinosaurs. They also love to play with this dinosaur with their action figures by having the action figures ride on the back or have the dinosaur be the pet of the action figures. We haven't scanned the Mapusaurus to unlock it on the Jurassic World Play app yet. My child has been content to just play with the dinosaur.

Dino!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Jurassic World Mapusaurus is one Mason and Reid don't have, so they were very excited to play with this one :) It doesn't have a ton of features like some of the other dinos, but still a great addition to their collection. They do like how the jaw opens, and the look of the Dino is very realistic.

Cool Dino

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dinosaur toy is really cool! My son enjoys making it chomp on his other Dino toys using the button it it's back. The body and mouth moves along as you make the dinosaur walk and adds to the ferociousness of the dinosaur's look. It's a really sturdy toy and has been played with multiple times a day since we got it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For any child that likes dinosaurs then this would be great for them.  It's very well made so should be hard to break.  It has movable arms, legs, feet and the end of the tail.  If you turn the wheels on top of his back then head will move up and down as well as its mouth opens and shuts. There is also a button under the top of its tail that if you push it then spikes come up along the top of his back that just push back down.  Also at the top of its tail is a hidden scan chip that pulls up but it's rather awkward  to do so as hard to get hold off it to pull it up. When you scan the code on your phone it takes you to a app you can down load and  it's tells you all about your dinosaur and you canlearn about others and plays games involving  dinosaurs. My 8  year old nephew loved this and he is dinosaur  mad.  It's a shame it does not have sound effects as would off been so cool with sounds of it roaring so I deducted 1 star for this.

My younger nephew was scared by all the pointy spikes on the dinosaur. I would say it's definitely made for kids who know what real dinosaurs would look like.

My boy got bored of playing with it quite quickly unfortunately. It looks like a well made toy that will last but I think it has been forgotten about already.
