On April 23, 2023, I decided to purchase the Just For Me Texture Softener System, detangler, 1Kit.  By June 5, 2023, it was time to apply the system to my niece's 12-year-old hair.  Over the past 96 months, AuntieMaBae has dealt with type 4C hair.  Once I had applied this application, my niece's hair was more manageable and enjoyable.  "Just For Me" made my niece accept her hair better because the shrinkage was eliminated.  Although this Texture is similar to a relaxer, thank you for creating a product that smooths and de-frizzes hair while maintaining some natural curls.

My daughter has 4c hair like very very thick hair I left the texturizer in for the recommended time and it made my baby hair bone straight, not going to complain because it made it more manageable but yeah be careful! I just recently relaxed her edges and I think I did it correct this time because her hair is actually curly and not straight but it did loosen her curls. Honestly product quality may vary.

Used on my 4 year old 4C hair

Im a licensed stylist and I really love this stuff. ! Do your four sections, problem is ya need to hurry to get the front sections to catch up with the back sections and have it all turn out even.. so Im doing it one more time, this time starting with two front sections first then the back.. leaves my childs mixed hair in beautiful sectioned coils... not all fluffed together frizz... really came out undamaged too and soft... love this stuff!!

Awesome for elongated spiral curls

I had such difficulties with my daughter 4c hair. So extremely tightly coiled nothing l did to her hair looked decent to me. It was sooo frustrating! I was hesitant to buy this because l wanted my daughter totally natural, no chemicals...but l was at my wits end. I saw a video or 2 on YouTube regarding this product. Saw a woman having similar issues with her daughter. She gave rave reviews therefore l took the leap of faith. So glad it did, it brought out my daughter's natural curls and made her hair sooo much more manageable! Way easier to comb thru and style. I'm so glad l tried it!

Worked Wonders

I left it in too long during the application I feel like you should do one side rinse it out then do the other but it still turned out pretty good my hair is very manageable! I do have some curls but ally of it is really loose cause I felt I left it to long but I'm not mad at the results at all ! I have so much ease parting n doing my hair now

Did what it was suppose to

If you did the strand test before you did the whole head (like the instructions said) then you know what it does and how to use it. 
My daughter is biracial and has a huge very coily/not define Afro! 
I swear her hair grows out - not down. 
I did the strand test and found out to do it for only 7 mins vs the 11 it quoted. 
Her hair is still very curly, just way easier to manage. She can actually wear it down now, without looking electrocuted at the end of the day. 
Doing any type of style is EASY now. Overall a good experience for me, considering I followed the directions of the box.

Not sure why there's so much hate on this?

Great for the texlax movement... However, know what you're doing first! Watch a few YouTube videos. My first try was a fail. I permed my hair actually!!!! Simply because I thought I knew what I was doing! You still have to add a few things before using this.

Great for Texlax

I do not recommend. These chemicals are dangerous and they are marketed for our little ones. It took several washes to wash completely out. My head/hair smelled like chemicals for days. my scalp is tender and sensitive feeling. I don't know what i was thinking. I have really kinky hair, with alot of shrinkage. I thought this would help loosen just a little. it did that and more. my hair is straight and brittle, dry and almost plastic feeling. I  followed the direction, but i did smooth with fingers which directions say not to do.

I do not recommend.

I thought that by this being a kiddie relaxer/texturizer my scalp would be safe. It was more harsh on my scalp than an adult relaxer. I don't need a super relaxer/texturizer. I cannot recommend this. But to each their own if you choose to use it.
