Suction Cup Grip

Ease Of Assembly

Sturdiness

Value For Money

Suction cups may lose grip or fall off over time.

Made with a construction that can withstand use.

Minimal effort required for installation.

My cats just love watching the birds in their new window seat. Love the fact you can move it around. Also you can pull down the shades at night.

Cat window seat

walmart.com

Both my cats love this thing! I've had it a few months now- Originally, one of the suction cups would lose suction every couple days until I remoistened it with a drop of Windex. Also, my window is a little shorter in length, so I put a knot to shorten each strap so I could adhere all 6 cups to 1 pane without much slant, allowing the window to be opened without having to remove the kitty sill.

I would definitely buy again

jet.com

Sturdy, comfy, both of my cats enjoy this! They sleep and play with each other on it. What sold me was that it can easily fold up and down.

Great product!

Our cats now have a new, high place they can sit and watch the birds, and our chickens outside, and play, climbing through the hole to change which shelf they want to be on.

Kitty Sill Easy Mount Shelf

I kinda did my own rigging tieing shoe string knots into the window because the top suctions aren't secure as I'd like to hold up both my cats.Otherwise it holds up just fine and is a great compromise to them going outside during the winter months.

Good perch,but.....

This review is of the K&H EZ Mount Window Kitty Sill Double Stack.

TLDR: We've had 2 of these for 5 years and they have held up well.

The suction cups will hold for around 6 months on a window before failing. Our sills came with instructions to soak the suction cups in water at 150F (~66C) for 10 minutes before attaching to a window and to redo this whenever a remount is required. Without doing that they fail withing minutes. Doing so and they will hold for another 6 months. That cycle has continued for our shelves for years.

I suspect that the negative reviews are due to people not softening the suction cups before remounting to a window. The current instructions on this page suggest that you could "try soaking the suction cups in hot water" without stating any target temperature to assist in successful mounting. I think that's a mandatory step and 150F for 10 minutes is what I remember seeing on the instructions that came with ours. Those instructions continue to work. Why they aren't listed here is a fair question but it's essential that this is done to ensure they continue to work - as ours have.

It's not perfect but 6 months per attachment is pretty decent and reliable, even when we have heavy cats (15-18lbs) that use them on a regular basis. They comfortably hold 50+lbs without issue, until the suction starts to fail at the aforementioned 6 month mark.

Regular maintenance is needed - one has been in constant use and still looks in good shape. The other hasn't been used for 2 years and the suction cups have yellowed without use, so care is required to keep them in shape. I'd advise softening the suction cups at least every year, even if you are not using them. Long hair cats will leave hair embedded in the shelves but the fleece shelves are machine washable and that works well enough to keep them in good shape.

They are reliable and are well used by our cats. 4 stars seems like a good rating for these, not perfect and the instructions appear to need updating for new customers but they work very well and have held up for longer than I expected. The price is also still around what we paid for ours 5 years later so definitely recommended.

Soften the suction cups before use and these work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seemed like a pretty cool product but my cat wasn't really interested in it. I bought this and was supposed to get refunded for it but never did so I took it back. Decent price for it though, if my cat would have been interested I would have still kept it.

Seemed like a pretty

Bought this a while ago on Chewy for my rescue babies and they LOVE it but recently the top suction cups stopped worked and not Matter what I do it will NOT stick. Then today, while reattaching the top suction cup, the one snapped apart completely. Very sad it didn't last, and so are my fur babies. Two stars because they love it, but not worth the price.

Cats loved it until the suction cups failed

Top suction cups broke within 3 months of use- I have two cats who weigh a combined 20lbs, this bed does not stay up, the suction cup falls off. Last night both of my cats were flung off of it mid-nap as it collapsed. Thankfully no one was hurt.

Top suction cups broke within 3 months of use

I put this up two months ago and the top tension suction cups no longer work. My cats loved this for two months, but it dropped my cats. I installed it as instructed and cleaned off the suction cups and the window each month. I would recommend that the manufacturer use regular suction cups for the top straps. The large suction cups are still holding. The ones that keep the window perch from folding, failed.
