I bought this as a spare for my heated duck waterer. I love the design of this tank - easy to bring into the house to fill, easy-ish to clean. We'll see how it does in summer with algae growth, but so far I have no complaints at all, and it provides enough water for an entire day, even with my three crazy ducks doing their best to make giant mud puddles.

Time and sun had damaged our old tank which we'd had about 5 years, this spring we dropped it and it cracked. New tank is perfect, we LOVE these waterers. We've got the heated option which of course we don't need this time of year but "winter is coming". Also love that the hens cannot perch on top of this and make messes.

It is great having a spare tank for my waterer!  If you decide to sell a spare cap - I would love that, too!  I am happy that if fit perfectly since my base is several years old ( and going strong!!

I have purchased many water tanks in the past by far this is the best one it would be a six star rating if I could get my hand in to clean it that is the only problem with this tank if the company would make the hole four-inch round just to get your hand in to clean it. Thanks for a great product

Best tank ever

We have been through many chicken waterers and this one is so easy to refill, easy to carry without spilling water all over and no perching on top (yah!!). We will never go back to our other waterers.

Best Chicken Waterer Ever

I bought the replacement tank so I would have a spare so I could swap tanks each day in the winter as my ducks (only 6) splash all the water out over each night. The second unit was a great way to simplify the process.

Heated duck waterer replacement tank.

Bought this as a second tank for our waterer. This way we can bring a fresh one to the coop and bring the other one back in. Only complaint is that the plug doesn't quite seal as good as our original one. Otherwise these tanks are built very well.

Second tank for rotation

We have purchased three of these for our flock and after one year two of the caps cracked.  It's expensive to replace the entire water reservoir just for a cap. Is there any way we can purchase the cap separately?  We have the dog waterer and they sell the caps separately.  I have tried to send an email on the site but it won't submit.

Love this but the caps crack

I like this poultry watered and ordered a second tank to save a trip to bring out water when needed rather than retuning the empty to the house, refilling, and going back out. The first lid leaked and so does this one. It is simply a leaky design. It means when I fill it and grab it by the handle to head out the door that I leave drips across the kitchen floor. Not the end of the world but not great. The design of the waterer is clever, it does freeze up on the coldest days, though.
