Can be seamless, but also tricky to put on for some users.

Without these I couldn't get up my 1/4 mile long driveway even with good snow tires. They make all the difference !! - They take a little practice to get them on the tires, but once you learn the installation process its only a few minutes a tire and off you go

worked  just like it said it would. I watched several videos with people using and installing . i put them on today in the snow from 2026 snowstorm. installed them outside in  the snow at 5 am in the dark both tires with just headlights to see in under 10 minutes no problem and temp was 8 degrees. i was a little surprised  it went that smoothly . went up a snowt icy hill no problem.

Great Alternative

I was stuck in snow.  Towtruck driver said my car was likely too low for chains and told me about snow socks.  They really do work just as good as chains- if not better.  If there is a chain requirement these are accepted and there is no concern of them damaging your car due to breakage- as chains often do.

These are truly amazing!! My MKX has wide  low profile tires and would not climb up my fairly steep driveway in a few inches of snow. With these on just the rear it has made it up every time no matter how deep the snow or how slippery the driveway has been. Truly amazed and have ordered a second pair just incase we have another blizzard of 78!

I was skeptical, but having driven through multiple snow storms with multiple vehicles and used chains with much frustration, these snow socks were better than I could have imagined. I have a 1992 F150 FWD and I tested the snow socks with the 4WD on due to the danger of the road I was on. I was not able to test the socks with the 4WD off so I can only speak to how my vehicle worked with them on and in 4WD. I drove though aprox. 12-14 inches of snow. I tried to slide and couldn't, whereas I was sliding with only the 4WD before I used the snow socks. The traction and absolute ease with I had using the snow socks was impressive. it took me maybe 3-5 minutes to put both on and drove at speeds up to 35-40 mph with an average of 25mph and the socks stayed on and was even able to go through patches of semi dry pavement where the trees prevented snow from falling. I don't normally write reviews, but I have been telling everyone I know about these and I highly recommend to anyone who needs better options to the frustration of putting on and using chains. HIGHLY Recommend.

So much easier than chains

Try not to drive too fast or they will tear up and take them off as soon as chains are no longer required because non-snow surface will cause damage to the snow socks and maybe your vehicle.

They were pretty easy to put on but not as easy to take off. They worked quite well at first but little cottonwood canyon had variable conditions and by the time we got to Snowbird they started to not work as well. If you could guarantee that you would only drive on snow covered roads they would probably last longer and work but as soon as you drive on  less snowy road they wear out quickly. I was using them on a minivan. I used them the second day and then had to throw them away because I drove on pavement for too long.

Wear out too easily on variable road conditions.

Impossible to put on without a lift and if you do not have a lift you will need a second party or keep rolling the car until you get it right. Not something you want to deal with in the last minute and once you try to put it on without success,  its all dirty and you cannot return it. The Gloves that come with it will tear along the cloth side because they are out Just cheap material. Really cheap as a cheap toss in.
