I bought two sets for each of my grandsons as a Christmas gift. Teachers use these sets in their classrooms as a learning tool for building and designing different objects.

If you are looking for a lot of peaces and a lot of different things to make this is the set for you. With the online instructions for additional builds there a re hundreds of different things you can build with this set.

This was a gift for a 10 year old that used to love legos and has moved on to more intricate designs. I think this is great i would just recommend like a storage tub or something to keep them all together. Also come with a book with a lot of great designs.

Great for older Lego lovers!!

My son absolutely loves this set. It is easy to build different items from the book and they also have a link to download more building ideas.  Hours of fun!!

Great building fun

Although I love this set for me because it has many possibilities for constructing,  it has some drawbacks which I will mention below.
First, I recommend the Company to add or the users to have two flat plastic containers (5-6 in by 5-6 in) to put the small pieces and the very small pieces. If not, they are very difficult to find between the bigger pieces.
The set is suggested for 6+ children but the pieces are difficult to snap together, so I would say that only teenagers would have the strength to do it. 
Although you can follow the instructions to build many figures, if you want to do something  independently it is hard to figure out how and what pieces should be connected. This again points to teens and not to small children.

Wonderful but...

I bought two sets of these for my 7 year old son.  It's been about a month and he still plays with them daily.  The building opportunities are endless and I love seeing how creative he is with them.  I highly recommend them.

got the set for a 12 year old boy - he loves it but it doesn't come with the instructions for all 100 building sets; only about 20 are included and the rest are online and aren't as well explained as the paper explanations.  Other than that well made and a great next step after legos to expand creativity.
