[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stand mixer does not disappoint!  It is well built and powerful.  I have used it to make doughs for cookies, pies, and pizza.  It has multiple power levels and you can also lock the head in place.  The mixer comes with multiple attachment tools that are perfect for a wide variety of recipes.  I particularly like the 2 sizes of bowls that come with the mixer.  The smaller one is great for small batches of cookie dough while the larger capacity one is great for pizza dough.  This machine is easy to clean and looks great on my countertop.  The bold honey-yellow color really pops against my dark gray cabinets and was one of the main reasons I chose it.  It has fast become a kitchen essential and I can't wait to try it on other recipes.  It's a real arm saver!

All in all I really liked this product... her name is Stella  and her color is my favorite color .

The 15plus year old one that still works great will be going to a new family.  I also purchased the pastry beater thanks to Jennifer Garner's “Pretend Cooking Show”.  That works awesome.   I have not made a pie shell in years.  So easy with the beater and tasted so good.    The new mixer sits in a place of honor on the counter and now that more accessible I am using it so much more.   Super happy with my purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first kitchenaid dough maker and I was very pleased at the effort needed to make pizza dough. Usually it requires a lot of elbow grease but this was smooth just checking to make sure there was sufficient water for the dough. It is fairly heavy because it is all metal and not plastic however it is relatively compact too. The mixer bowls are stainless steel which is awesome. It comes with a dough hook, wire whip and two flat beaters. Pleased with this and reduces a lot of manual work. It also has a dough protector type of lid to add dough or water during the process. It is not noisy at all which I love. It is very easy to use and control.

Reduces a lot of elbow grease

It is such a great way to add a bit of color to my kitchen, the perfect accent to my counter. All the attachments are great. I find it a bit difficult to work with the plastic guard as it is a bit too flimsy to stay in place but I still use it.

The workhorse your kitchen needs!

Out of the box, I loved the burnt orange color right away and could tell from the weight that it felt well-made, just like I remembered when using my mom's KitchenAid mixer growing up. 



This mixer came with a few new attachments, like a dough scraper and an additional mixing bowl that is super handy. Our first baking attempt with the KitchenAid mixer was a great success. It makes you feel like you can bake anything and I can't wait to try more recipes soon!

A dream to both use and look at!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently updated my 40+ year old mixer, not because I needed to, but because I wanted to.  The old mixer went to our vacation home.  I just wanted a new color and a little bit stronger motor. During the pandemic I have made bread each week.  This mixer and the older one have been amazing.  Never let me down, never have been repaired.  Parts (bowls and beaters) are readily available.  It is the best appliance I have had in our 50 year marriage.

Durable and timeless

Please explain the extreme price difference between the colors of the exact same mixer. I was going to purchase a mixer for my daughter, but cannot justify paying double the amount for a certain color. Surely I am not the only one to complain about this issue!

I love my KA mixer, however...

My mixer arrived and immediately had imperfections out of the box- the back of the motor was loose, the hub cap on the front did not properly screw in, amongst other physical issues. I immediately called customer service and addressed these issues (without even turning on the machine). After sending pictures to CSR, the rep decided to send an entire replacement mixer. The replacement arrived quickly but also had physical imperfections/blemishes. Upon running the motor on both machines- it is clear that both have problems/do not function properly. The original seemed to be fine on first inspection/run through but it became clear that the motor ticks/sputters as you move up in speed. It sounds as though it is grinding on the top 2 speeds. The replacement's motor has issues between speeds/transitioning- which is especially noticeable on the mid speed settings, and will idle (like an old car) in the low speed settings. Power output on the high setting seems to be a struggle. This is unlike other Kitchen Aid stand mixers- of the same caliber/motor output- that I have owned in the past. 

I am thoroughly disappointed in the product as a whole. I went with Kitchen Aid because, for home use, this is the premiere brand. I am an experienced baker and have worked with a variety of professional tools- in professional settings. I uniquely understand what is necessary in a tool, like a stand mixer, to be able to output quality goods. Where this is a countertop appliance- designed for home use, it does not deliver on what is promised. Quality control seems to be severely lacking as both machines not only have physical imperfections, but also mechanical imperfections.

QUALITY: 1/5 (If I could give a 0/5 rating I would. Both machines have both physical imperfections, and mechanical imperfections) 

VALUE: 1/5 (Overpriced for what you get; sure mixer attachments are included- but that's of little to no consequence when the machine itself functions poorly.)

DESIGN: 3/5 (Color is great, the machine is compact, and looks very sleek)

EASE OF USE: 3/5 (Turning on and off the machine is very simple- but this is like asking someone to rate how easy it is to turn a light switch on/off, it's pretty self explanatory. Some of the physical imperfections made it extremely difficult to remove/secure the fitted bowl.) 

PERFORMANCE: 1/5 (This is not a machine to rely on if you intend to use it more than once or twice a year- the motor performs poorly)
