I have a pair of Keens that were quite worn- rubber flapping around, paint splatters….anyway they are the only shoes that didn't hurt my feet. I ordered the Ridge Flexes and find them to be perfect! Roomy in the toe box and a good supportive insole. I can put my old Keens away for gardening now!

Got the footbed I needed

KEEN

These are not only great-looking sport shoes they feel great as well and make me think I accidentally put on my soft slippers instead. They give me great support for my walks along the California coast and as I walk up and down the foothills above the Pacific. I liked them so much, I just bought another pair in blue.

Fabulous Ridge Flex

These shoes might be a little clunky-looking for some, but I'm delighted with the round toe and wide toe box. I have surgically reconstructed feet, and I need a shoe like this for outdoor activities as well as regular daily wear. It seems a bit heavier than the Targhee III I've been wearing, but not so much that it affects my gait. It would be great on a trail, because the grippy sole would be an advantage on uneven terrain.

Although I have a wide foot, this shoe fits me just fine, and it accommodates my custom orthotics as well. For someone who doesn't need the arch support that I do, the shoe with the insole it comes with will do just fine. This is a nice addition to the Keen line, and a nice complement to or replacement for the Targhee III ( although I certainly hope that model doesn't go away). And the colors are very nice!

Sturdy and comfortable

I have been buying and wearing Keen shoes almost since they started making them. Nearly all my shoes are Keen. This was the second pair of these particular shoes I purchased recently. I got
The second pair because they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. They fit perfectly from the first and can be worn with heavy or light socks. The first pair I got for my very busy job, on my feet up to 10 hours a day. After wearing them for a few weeks, my feet didn't want to be in any other shoes, so I got a second pair to wear for “play.”

The most comfortable shoes ever

My wife wore these hikers fresh out of the box while vacationing in Iceland. They provided the perfect amount of support and protection for our daily 10 mile hikes. The flex in the toe provided the right amount of give while walking and prevented blisters. This was her first pair of Keen shoes, and won't be her last!

Ideal shoe

These shoes have good support and are rather cute for hikers. Nice support in heal cup. Customer service is excellent. I wish I could have kept them, but I have persnicky toes and they weren't just right for my feet. I definitely recommend them for others though.

uber nice

Nate Hastings

The shoe looks fantastic, and fit is perfect, nice roomy toebox for my broad feet.
But what other before me have said, and year before I bought mine, is that the tongue where it attaches to the shoe, the inside side, is painful on high insteps. the first time I wore them, it was excruciating, like a needle was going into the tendon of my foot. But as I like everything else about it, I persevered, and after many trials, it is now much less painful, only at the very beginning, it then goes and I can walk comfortably on. HOW peculiar??. No blisters, and only on my right foot. Very annoying but luckily it seems to get better. But what I also don't understand, is after a year of complaints about this specific issue here as feedback, the Keen team have not addressed it and keep sending them out as they were? It does not instil much confidence in their response to feedback? No I don't want to send them back. I want the designer team to respond to this issue, and tell us whether they are going to do something about it. Thanks!

Ridge Flex with faulty Tongue attachment

I have had many pairs of Keens but their recent offerings have been poor. I don't like the bellows at all. They have redesigned the way the tongue attaches to the shoe, and there is now a prominent seam which is Very Uncomfortable. I would not recommend them to anyone now. Which is a real shame as they used to be comfortable out of the box.

Keen have lost their way

I loved these shoes, great fit, comfortable, very few issues for my picky feet. However, after only a couple of months the rubber ridge flex piece on the top of the foot broke down and cracked, leaving me with leaky shoes. Am super disappointed, haven't found a replacement that is as comfortable.

Ridge Flex Not So Durable

I wanted to love these shoes. I recently developed plantar fasciitis and was looking for something for work (I work outside with animals) that was supportive and comfy for daily use.
I loved the way they fit when I first put them on. The toe box had plenty of room to wiggle my toes and the length was perfect.
They support my ankles well, but when walking I could feel the pressure points on the ball and heel of my foot hit the pavement with each step.
These are the least cushioned hiking boots I've tried. I can feel every single rock and pebble under my foot when I walk and can't wear these for more than a few minutes without pain.
They might be okay for walking on grass or a padded trail, but definitely not hard surfaces. I was surprised given the good reviews I read before buying them. Sadly, would not recommend. I would have returned if I haven't had them for so long/got them dirty when I tried them out.
*I usually wear between 7 and 7.5. The 7's fit well.

Nice width, nice fit- No cushion or arch support

I had so much hope when ordering the Women's Ridge Flex low-cut boot. The write up was promising and the shoe was plenty wide in the toe box for my wider than average woman's foot. The flex gasket was very comfortable but they have added unnecessary padding around the ankle. None of my previous Keen Voyager or Targhee II low-cut boots had this much padding at the ankle. I really wanted the Ridge Flex to work for me but the extra added padding rubbed my ankles until they hurt. Keen please quit messing with the perfection your boots used to be. They used to all have a wide toe box and the ankle area was low enough not to irritate my ankles. Now they are too tight in the toe box and make my ankles hurt.

Thick Padding on a low-cut Shoe????

KEEN Womens Ridge Flex Low Height Waterproof Hiking Shoe 7 Steel Grey/Hydrangea front three-quarter view of a low-cut waterproof women's hiking shoe in steel grey with hydrangea blue trim, speed-lace system, molded black toe cap, padded mesh collar, KEEN logo on tongue and side, gray cushioned midsole and aggressive lugged outsole on a white background; often used as a durable trail shoe for day hikes.
