Easy to to sent up and use. It does need a little cleaning after use, the city hard water scale stickes to the bottom.  I just use a little cleaning   vinegar and a non scratch pad. 
It does not make a full gallon, it makes 3000mL exactly but its pretty close. It does shut off automatically, but I would not be comfortable running it when not at home.
It does come with a small container of citric acid and coconut filters. 
I am happy with it.
