Quality and Appeal

I am licensed master plumber in NYC and I seen a few reviews on here with people Complaining the screws get loose 
The problem is the plumber who installed should also use some thread lock paste. Even though it comes already on the screwes I still use it...and as a homeowner if they do get loose you can do it your self...very easy. I own the purist line on my entire bathroom and absolutely no issues

Update: I gave this product two stars earlier. It was installed by a professional, but not installed well, so the previous review might not have been completely fair. There are actually two set screws on the handle. When both are properly tightened, the handle will fit snug and not wobble. Also, this is just a reminder that we live in a nanny state. The fixture has a washer in it that limits the amount of hot water it allows to flow. And it's not enough for the winter when the cold water is really cold. It is an easy fix once you know this and find the proper video to show you how to fix it. We are half way through our second winter of Luke warm showers. That has now been remedied. It is pretty frustrating that is doesn't just work properly out of the box, but I blame lawyers for that, not Koehler. Anyway, the fixture is beautiful and now it is functional too.

We've had this going on 2 years now. The handle/knob pulled off within a few months. I try tightening it regularly, but it doesn't stay in place. Additionally, our shower hot water is SIGNIFICANTLY cooler than the sink's hot water, by 15°. If there is a way to adjust the hot/cold mix, I'd love to hear it, because the wife isn't happy taking a luke warm shower during the winter.

Handle and temp mixes are both real issues

Falling apart after one year, just like the other two reviews. So bummed, just cant believe it. We thought we bought the best, but just terrible. My house had a 80 year old shower and never had a problem, but after just one year this is trash. So disappointed.

The absolute worst! DO NOT buy this product!

This is the worst design on the planet! The engineers who created this need to find another line of work. There are 2 screws that hold the handle onto the valve, they become loose every month or so and the very heavy handle falls on the shower floor, chipping the tile! I now keep an allen wrench in the shower so I can tighten regularly. The tighter u screw in the screws the harder it is to operate the handle....worst design on the planet. Not to mention it costs hundreds of $$.

The stem that holds the handle must be made of the worst metal there is because after a few months of use the handle starts to wiggle before finally giving up. I don't understand why the internals couldn't be made with materials that are prone to corrosion. I bought at least 2 of these over the past couple of years after having issues with the original one because the underlying valve only supports this garbage and if I were to replace the valve it would cost me a lot more considering the tile would have to be removed carefully. I regret going with kohler products in my bathrooms and kitchen because everything looks Great at first but after a year or two they fall apart.

Same exact issue as all previous reviews... I am on my second lever... so disappointed. It's only been 7-8 months of usage. Can't believe I have to deal with this all over again.
