Wonderfully efficient coffee maker. Having its own filter, is a plus. Perfect size, style, and  makes great coffee. The stainless steel matches my other appliances. We had one before, so it was an easy decision for order another.

Really Nice Small Coffee Maker

Dear Krups Coffee Maker, 

I wake up every morning and still get excited to brew coffee with you. You're such a sturdy, reliable object and have never once failed me. I worry about my addiction to caffeine though - I can't remember the last time I didn't have coffee in the morning. I read a book once about the history of coffee and it's effects and it does give us momentary feelings of pleasure after the first few sips. Apparently Balzac drank 50 cups a day. The rise of coffee intake coincides with the industrial revolution I believe - a tool that helps us become better worker units - a better standing reserve of labor/ production. Imagine a world without the need for it. Anyway - thanks Krups for making reasonably priced, reliable products that help me establish a daily ritual that feels important.

Krups Coffee Maker Best Price

I received this coffee maker as a gift for my birthday a week and a half ago. It is the perfect size for me as a single person. The coffee is great and nice and hot but the only complaint I have is that the lid will not stay up when you're either trying to fill the coffee maker with water or with coffee grounds. You have to manually hold the lid open to pour the water in and then also hold it open while trying to scoop coffee grounds into the filter basket. I have seen other reviews which state the same problem occurring so it is probably a design flaw

Great but lid will not stay up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this coffee maker for one week. I like that it is small %26 doesn't take up much room on my countertop. It looks sleek %26 makes two good-sized mugs of coffee. Like others have said, my main dislike is the the power button is on the side so you can't tell if it's on or off by just looking at it.

Good basic coffee maker

My husband and I bought this coffee maker to simplify our lives because we were tired of the single use machines. after about two months, it started making weak coffee. I searched online for answers as well as the manuel for how we can fix it. Most results said we needed to clean or descale the machine, however the manual does not specify how to do that. I tried running water through it three times, but it still makes weak coffee. I have to dump out the weak brew and brew another one right after that in order to get a normal strength coffee brew, however this is a waste of my time in the mornings and it is theopposite of simple. The machine is clean and I don't know what else to do.

Love it and hate it

The top won't stay up.  You have to hold it open with one hand and pour water with the other.  You have get a scoop of coffee, put the bag down carefully so it doesn't fall over, and then open the lid to put the coffee in.  
And there's no auto-shutoff.

Needs three hands.

There are several things about this item that are poorly designed. The spout on the coffee pot is such that if you should pour too fast the coffee will spill out the sides and run down the pot. The lid does not open far enough to allow ease of filling the reservoir and it is prone to falling closed when it is opened.

Short comings

This good looking little coffee maker worked for a bout a week . Then for no reason whatsoever, the water started spilling  from the drip all over the pot and on the counter. Same amount of water (2 cups) as before. So, I guess you get what you pay for, but frankly one would expect better from Krups. Be warned before you consider buying it.
