I got this kettle on sale, and it was a great value. it boils water very fast (it takes about 4 minutes from cold water), but it does shut off as soon as it hits boiling. I purchased it to top off canning jars with boiling water, so I'll have to turn back on frequently. It heats water so fast though, it won't be a problem.

Bought this last week and since then I've boiled several pots of 1.7 liters of water. In all honesty, I'm a bit conflicted about this product.

For the first couple of uses, the ketttle smelled aweful, but the smell stopped after about the third use; I imagine the plastics inside we burning after factory assembly. I even considered returning it, wondering if I got a dud, but decided to give it a chance. The smell stopped. The build is ok, but the glass gets extremly hot... naturally. Dont leave this in the reach of children or in an area with high hand traffic.

The water doesnt boil long. It acheives about 99.1 celcius and the machine turns off. If you try to hold it any longer manually, the handle becomes extremly hot. Is that temperature and boil sufficient to kill all bacteria? I don't know. The size is just ok to make one pot of tea for four. But you can't really go past 1.7 liters, since if it gets filled any higher, it starts to spill. I'm still on the fence about returning this though. 3 stars is alright for this product: not terrible but not great.

Bought this kettle, and right from day 1 nothing but problems, now 1 month later and it doesn't work at all and Walmart won't do anything about it, now back to boiling water in a pot on the stove, so save your money and buy a good brand name product.  Lesson learned the hard way

Bad quality, it stopped working less than 2 months after purchase. Contacted the manufacturer about that while the original warranty is active. They were quick to respond, but they game every BS they can. First, they told me how to turn it ON and OFF properly, make sure the outlet has power, etc. (I don't that, according to them hahaha). They asked for pictures, and a short video showing them how to operate it. At the end they still refused to fix or replace it. Don't buy their products.
