only charcoal i will use for the kamado, the egg, any of the grills. burns clean and hot and long, one bag lasts quite a while. can put wood chips over and they don't destroy them so you can get the flavor. highly recommended!

I cheated once and tried a different brand, that wont happen again.  From burn time to temperature and ease of lighting this is the best charcoal hands down .

I've been using the Kamado Joe lump charcoal since purchasing my Jamado Joe grill. It never lets me down!

Lump charcoal

The winning combination of the Kamado Classic and this charcoal make for a clean, efficient burn. Smoked a whole pork belly and then a whole chicken on about two pounds worth.

Great Charcoal

Some big block, but still many smaller lumps.

Frankly, it's not great. I have opened 3 out of the 6 bags I purchased and I have small pieces and dust. Not to mention the inside of the bags are falling apart.

Buy Jealous Devil instead

If I could give it 0 stars I would.  The reason I spend extra for Kamado lump charcoal was because it normally is large lumps that have longer lasting predictable burn times.  I purchased 8 bags of this and all of them are crushed tiny particles that don't last more than 8hrs on a full load in my Big Joe.
