This has been my go-to fire starter for years and more reliable than using the twine or hay starters from other brands. While you could use two squares to light different areas of the firebox, I actually split a square in two. It works just as well and makes my supply last longer. Highly recommended.

You break off a little piece and it woks perfect every time. These are a must have for any of the Masterbuilt products or any other grill for that matter.
I used it with my chimney and my portable grill, that starts with a W, and it was so much easier than worrying about stuffing enough paper paper in it.

I purchased this for my husband as a house warming gift. Best gift ever!  He tells me how much he loves it all the time.   He loves being able to use charcoal and how hot the grill gets.  The first thing he grilled was steak and it was AMAZING!   Had a nice char on the outside and cooked to perfection inside.  He loves the wifi meat thermometer also.   Great buy!

Met expectations

Great little product, work well and cheap. I use these for starting my kamado especially when it's cooler temps, when I feel the torch may be a little too hot for the ceramic.

Love these starters! Have never had one fail on me and within 2 minutes I have enough flame and heat to start up the grill. I have tried five other brands these are consistent, affordable, and reliable where others have failed.

These have been very reliable starters for our gravity series smoker-grill. Quick-starting and they don't add any chemical or undesirable flavor to the smoke/meat.

These are the best for starting gravity feed BBQ and are not always in stock in big box store. There are many in one box but I'd recommend buying two boxes due to possible ordering delays

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the compressed saw dust fire starters without the paraffin wax, and they work, but they don't compare with these. I usually use two, like Chef Erik, and it works extremely well. I feel like it starts the fire much faster than other products.
