A great deal and powerful machine!

Powerful and quiet. Not for doing parking lots but perfect for home use.

Little Dynamo

I bought K5 Power control for a regular use such as car wash, siding, drive way and deck cleaning. One particular reason was to clean deck before staining. First I need to say that I pretty much satisfied with rotating turbo nozzle. It is quite efficient in cleaning either pavement or wooden deck.  Also the tool is of good quality and well built. The wheels and attachment are very practical. However, I am very much disapponted with spray nozzle. I do not know if it should be like this or my spray jet is not functioning properly by soft mode is ridiculously weak. The water pessure in tap water hose is much more powerful than what is getting out in this soft mode. I am constantly using it in the hard mode but even in this mode it is not powerfull enough to properly clean a car. I do not understand why it is even needed. It is called pressure washer so it should deliver some pressure. The foam canon does it work but struggle to provide thick foam. Honestly, I would change it for more powerful model but not sure how much time will replacement take place.

I have owned Karcher units over the past 25 Years and all have always worked well. Just bought a K 5 unit and it too works well. My honest comment is that a number of the newer units while they cost more are made cheaper and feel more flimsy.The best unit was the K 4 unit that unfortunately is no longer available.I liked the pressure hose as it was separate and I was able to wrap the power line around the handle easily on the K 4 unit. Rolling up the pressure hose is more award and the power line hangs lose on the K 5 unit. The electrical plug on all  units is large and award and the handles do not have a lock on feature so your hand gets very sore and cramps after long use. K4 unit with the 2 suggested changes would make it unbeatable. K5 is OK but much preferable is  the K 4 unit for me.

Karcher K5 Premium

Works fine, however, as I was inserting  the handle as carefully as possible one of the prongs broke.  All companies, need to use a larger font regarding Model # and Warranty #.  Old guys with corrected vision have trouble reading the letters and numbers.

The K5 Premium is a high quality machine that works well, providing the pressure and precision to complete multiple jobs. The assembly was straight forward. Portability of the unit is good.
Ease of use is bad. 
There are a number of frustrations with the machine, that all work back to one core issue, that being Karcher's use of exclusive, proprietary connections. The high pressure hose that comes with the unit is hard plastic, making it difficult to wind, and very difficult to unwind and manage when using. It makes it very difficult to move around with the wand, in fact it is easier to leave the wand hose wound up and walk around with the machine. To make matters worse, aftermarket rubber hoses will not work due to them having standard connectors, and despite calls to Karcher, they do not have an alternate hose available. 
The proprietary connection on the wand means an adapter has to be used for any aftermarket accessory (ie. foam cannon). 
Additionally the power supply is very temperamental. It does not like to be plugged into an extension cord (a must with the unusable hose) and it will not power up if there is any air in the hose. 
It is unfortunate because the machine itself works well, but it is not worth the money to have to deal with the accessories, or paying to replace them all.

Quality Machine, Terrible hose

I bought this k5 premium hoping its better than the k3 follow me. I had 3 of the k3 and not even 6 months 2 of the 3 have broken already. I would not recommend the k3 follow me and only time will tell on the k5. If it doesn't last i will be looking for a different brand.

So far good

The hose line on this this model was cringed close at the point where it entered the reel and I found to be very stiff, of poor quality and difficult to  handle The electrical cord was also very stiff even at temperatures above zero which makes it more difficult to manage.
The wheels, could be wheels for a kids toy because these are also quite flimsy and only suitable for a tiled floor. This was definitely the wrong model for me, so I am now looking for another better model to suite my application

I didn't find any great features on this model

I ordered this machine with much research in advance since it was not the usual chinese made junk that Wal-Mart carries. The Pro is that it arrived very quickly. The Con/Cons were that even before I opened the box, a considerable amount of water had leaked through the box onto my kitchen floor. Upon which after opening the box to inspect the contents, everything about it had clear signs of wear and tear with scuffs, scratches, dirt, debris and calcium deposits. Even worse, the water line still had water in it. I understand that the manufacturer tests their units and such. But the amount of water that leaked was a bit too much and everything was packed in such disarray. I even sent for a replacement unit and lo and behold it was the same story with the box itself falling apart as the only thing holding it together were the plastic straps. The third time was a charm only because I ordered straight through the manufacturer.
