[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is so fun! Bonkers silly with excellent sound and music. This game was originally released on the Playstation 2 and now has a new facelift and remaster on modern consoles. Same old game you played back in the day cleaned up for next generation. Everything is just the way I remember and I can enjoy it all over again with my niece  and nephew. Arrived on time and in perfect condition!

We love Katamari Damacy Reroll!

It's awesome to have a game from the “Katamari” series running natively on the PS4, however I genuinely feel that Katamari Forever would have been the better option to port/remake…

This is a remaster of the first game in the series, which doesn't “flow” as well as later entries and lacks many of the gameplay functions players may subsequently be familiar with having played those titles.

To elaborate on my last statement, you are much more likely to get caught/snagged on objects when attempting to pick them up, whereas the spectrum of items with varying sizes was increased and taken advantage of in later games so that this happens less.
You are also much more likely to get stuck in between objects, as this was a much more common occurrence in the first game that also was improved upon further down the line.

And as far as my mention of “gameplay functions” that you may be used to from later series, an example would be that there is no jump input, and that the turbo function of the Katamari doesn't activate as easily as it does in later revisions.

The gameplay can also generally feel “stiff” compared to the later games, especially as the size of your Katamari increases…

With all that said, I've still been enjoying this game immensely, as I'm a huge fan of the series who loves the concept of the core gameplay.

If you want to natively run a Katamari game on the PS4, this is your only option.

However, I do actually have more fun playing Katamari Forever using PlayStation Now, however that is a pretty expensive route to take, and one that is limited by your internet connection.

A great remake; hopefully the sequels get the same

Like Kamari Forever best but much more expensive.  This is close and runs on PS4 instead of 3 so better graphics.
