I'm glad I had an opportunity to try this seed. It's more economical & definitely attracts the birds. I gave some to my Son to use in his feeder in the backyard. He agreed that he has noticed fewer squirrels & chipmunks around the tree where the feeder is. Thanks, #Kaytee!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never tried this seeds before. it says it reduces squirrels from visiting the feeders so I guess it's unpleasant to them. not sure if my birds will like it though. we shall see. I also have a few possums in the backyard at night (they are very quiet and gentle mammals), not sure if they also dislike it.

Especially in the winter there is not much available for the little birds to eat. The birds go through it rather quickly and seem to like it. The squirrels like it too, but that's another story.
