This is easy to install and maintain. I find the indicator light works well for a reminder to replace the cartridge. The water tastes great. Always use cold water with this. It's great for drinking and cooking. I clean mine every other month in the dishwasher or by hand with some soap and a toothpick

The Pur filter system was the first and only filter that we had  installed and have continued using since my husband and I got married.  We're happy with the filter replacements however had some issues with thd mount systems sometimes. We could easily replace them so no problem here. We will continue using the filters.

This is a new filter design from what I have purchased in the past. Each filter is said to last 3 months, my previous filters only lasted for 1 and a 1/2 months. If this new designed filter last 3 months I'll keep it a 5 star rating, if not a 4 star.

A little pricey but much better than  a pitcher.  Installation was fairly easy but i had to get another faucet attachment for it to fit. Two attachments were included but neither worked for me.  Slow stream but no chemical tastes what so ever. I have since bought filters again. I like that the unit flashes yellow and then red as a filter replacement notification.

I don't have a car anymore so I don't want to lug around bottles of water.  The taste is fine once it goes through the filter. I'm sure I could get bottled water cheaper but the filter is easier and handier for me than trying to get cases of bottled water. I never checked to see how many bottles I can get with each filter but I know it's a lot.

These filters work really well and are much more convenient than using a water pitcher. The water tastes clean and fresh, and swapping out the filters themselves is easy.
My only issue was that the filters didn't come with any directions on how to install them or reset the filter light. The box says to refer to the owner's manual, but I no longer had mine. That's on me, but it would be really helpful if a simple instruction sheet was included.
Overall, it's a good product and I'll continue using it, but clearer instructions would definitely improve the experience.

“Great Filters, Instructions Would Help”

We have owned a “PUR“ brand on faucet-water filter of one version or another for at least the past decade.
For some unknown reason, PUR decided to overhaul the engineering of their filters… You know the ones that are blue in color and I believe they're actually called “PUR  PLUS” because there are some minerals in there to improve the taste of the water?🤷‍♂️

Anyway, when we would install the OLD version of the filters we only had to run our water through it for 3 minutes in order to pack down all of the filtering ingredients so that the water would no longer be loaded with carbon and be black in color.👌
Now… The so-called “new and improved” version requires  you to run water through there for 10 solid minutes? 🤦‍♂️🤪

That massively LOWERS THE “VALUE” as well as functional duration of the PUR filter filters going forward. 😞

In addition… PUR for some odd reason has added an additional piece to their filter top that is the equivalent of a “pull-tab ring” that you are now supposed to have to “yank on” to remove your filter?

Adding additional parts does not help the cost-conscious consumer  who is already paying on average about $13 per filter for only 100 gallons of water filtered.
And now that is even lower because you've got us “pre-staging” the filter for nearly 3.5 X as long (10 minutes) before we can even start drinking the water.
Yet somehow the corporate decision-makers at PUR think this is an improvement? 🤪

And they wonder why other “third-party makers” of compatible models are replacing PUR replacement filters as the “go to choice” and their market-share is shrinking?

Now 10-minutes “Pre-Staging”required!

Initially, filtered water flows thru at an acceptable pace.  With continued use (far less than the 3 month supposed shelf life), filtered water slows to a painfully slow trickle.  I actually counted the seconds to fill up a 16 cube, normal sized ice cube tray... 4 seconds per cube, equalling 1 minute and 4 seconds.  64- Mississippis long, lol.  It's like having a Brita water filter, all over again.

What we received does not seem to be an actual PUR product. Water had a weird texture and flavor after installing, even after running it for the recommended 10 minutes.

BUYER BEWARE

Once you put a new filter in, it will work perfectly fine for the first five days and then it will end up coming out the water to clean water filtered water slower than it could possibly rain. I have no clue why they keep selling it to really take advantage of people.

They have certainly earned their one star
