This is easy to install and maintain. I find the indicator light works well for a reminder to replace the cartridge. The water tastes great. Always use cold water with this. It's great for drinking and cooking. I clean mine every other month in the dishwasher or by hand with some soap and a toothpick

I have used this brand for years. No other brand works as well. I have it on my kitchen faucet. It lasts between 2-3 months before having to replace the filter cartridge. The city water that we have is undrinkable with so much chlorine, impurities, and whatever else stinks in it, even though it goes through the city's water filtration plant. I do buy some cases of bottled water for extra convenience when we are travelling, but our kitchen water with the filter is the best. I have been using PUR brand for at least 20 years and told all my relatives and friends about it. Even the water pitcher and the water bottles are great with the core filter in them. Way to go PUR !!!

Best filter !!!

The Pur filter system was the first and only filter that we had  installed and have continued using since my husband and I got married.  We're happy with the filter replacements however had some issues with thd mount systems sometimes. We could easily replace them so no problem here. We will continue using the filters.

These filters work really well and are much more convenient than using a water pitcher. The water tastes clean and fresh, and swapping out the filters themselves is easy.
My only issue was that the filters didn't come with any directions on how to install them or reset the filter light. The box says to refer to the owner's manual, but I no longer had mine. That's on me, but it would be really helpful if a simple instruction sheet was included.
Overall, it's a good product and I'll continue using it, but clearer instructions would definitely improve the experience.

“Great Filters, Instructions Would Help”

Pur Plus W/Mineral Core Filters:  This was a gr8 buy at the price.  I actually grab a few filters at a time to last me to the next big sale...bcuz over time Pur often improves their filters.  Thru research, they still rate the best.  The Pur Faucet Mount System is easy to install, the Pur Plus filters are highly rated %26 I've been very happy with their performance over the years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Walmart had a decent price on this item. I almost ordered generic versions of these on Amazon, but they had mixed reviews even though the price was much better than original manufacturer Wal Mart price on pur original filters were better than Walmart. That is the reason I purchase.

Initially, filtered water flows thru at an acceptable pace.  With continued use (far less than the 3 month supposed shelf life), filtered water slows to a painfully slow trickle.  I actually counted the seconds to fill up a 16 cube, normal sized ice cube tray... 4 seconds per cube, equalling 1 minute and 4 seconds.  64- Mississippis long, lol.  It's like having a Brita water filter, all over again.

What we received does not seem to be an actual PUR product. Water had a weird texture and flavor after installing, even after running it for the recommended 10 minutes.

BUYER BEWARE

they changed the design of the blasted things so now they dont fit or calibrate with my Pür plus model. had to jerry rig it to work and the water tastes diffwrent than what the old filters used to make the water taste like.

The water still tasted terrible. We called the manufacturer and gave the model number and date the filters were purchased which was 3 years ago by Walmart or created.

The manufacturer suggested we open one of the replacement filters and shake it to loosen it up because sometimes it gets stuck. We tried that and the water still tasted terrible.  So I am going to return and get a Brita which what I used to use.
