The Kelly Kettle works in harsh weather conditions bringing water to boil within a matter of minutes using whatever solid fuel is naturally occurring in the area - sticks, grass, pine cones, bark etc. No need to carry fuel. It is made from stainless steel and is essentially a double-walled chimney with the water contained within the chimney's double wall. <br>Fill the kettle with water, start a very small fire in the base, set the kettle on the base and drop additional fuel (twigs, leaves, grass, etc.) down the chimney. The large internal chimney surface area heats the water very quickly. The Kelly Kettle boils approximately 6.75 cups of water at a time.<br>Adding the Pot-Support and Cook Set gives you the added versatility to cook small amounts of food (Noodles, Rice, Oatmeal, Re-hydrated food, Soup, etc.) over the Kelly Kettle while your water boils. <br>The fire base & drawstring carrying bag are included with each Kelly Kettle. Indoor Use Warning for Gas-Fueled Appliances

I bought one a year ago and since then two of my friends have bought them. This purchase was for one of them. I've had a similar kettle since the 60's. These new ones are better as they are made of Stainless Steel or Aluminum. They boil water
in a couple of minutes. I use mine in the bush for tea or coffee during the cold hunting season. The fire inside gets going with a chimney effect. Its quite neat to see.I also have a pot support for the top and a hobo stove piece for the base to cook other items while I'm boiling water. I have a flat rock in my truck box so I can use the kettle, on the rock, on the tailgate. No bending down. No burnt truck paint. Walmart had a good price and the shipping was very quick. I am happy and so is my friend it was bought for.

Great Product.

I bought the base camp kettle with hobo stove, pot, pot holder (for chimney, and two cups. From start to boil of 50 oz of water, is about 6-7 minutes depending on what I use for fuel. I also find that the more wind, the better the fire! I also hope to buy the small model at some point.

Awesome emergency and camping kettle

I bought this for hunting so I can have something hot for lunch what a great tool for the job. Would highly recommend it to everyone that loves to be outdoor.

Wonderful

It is as you see online.  I haven't used it but I have seen one used & was so impressed I had to get one.  Shipping was very fast, had it about 5 days after I placed my order.

I use mine just about everywhere. It is great in the bush and on motorcycle 
trips. Really impressed my friends when they woke up to coffee.
Packs down real nice, looks good, works great.  When you buy one (not if)
get all the rest of the gear. The stove works great!  I'm buying an extra for 
my Bug Out Bag.

The Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this kettle almost one year ago, with the hobo stove and pot for cooking. I waited until I had tried this several times before posting any reviews. 
The stove heats up water quickly, using small dry branches and brush in 7-8 minutes, (depending on your firemaking skills) to make  tea/coffee/oatmeal. Then, we pull the kettle off, establish the fire and use the hobo stove with grill to roast corn, grill sausages and of course, make smores! We are purchasing a Kelly Kettle for each of our adult children, as they keep "borrowing" ours!  We keep a small bag of dried brush, small broken pallet pieces and pinecones with the kettle, in case there is no local fuel available. We even used it in the winter during a power outage, on the back step. It is a purchase you will not regret!

Fantastic cooking for daytrips and camping!

I bought this for a Christmas gift for my husband, but I had to look at it when I received it. Very pleased with it and I know he us going to love it
