Descaling

Lacking detailed guidance on product usage and maintenance.

Simple design makes it convenient to use.

Can be effective, but may require frequent cleaning or replacement.

Fails to turn off after descaling, requiring manual intervention.

This is a maintenance kit - you are expected to use something like this every 3 to 6 months to keep your K-Kup machine in top working condition. I seem to wait until the "SCALE" light comes on for my machine (which is tied to how many cups of Joe I make - 250 cups). So for my machine I should use this Maintenance Kit about every month and a half (45 days....)

I run this Kit near 'bout every 3 months or so - seems to be working ok as my current machine has been operating like new for 4 years now.

If you have 'Hard Water' in your area, it's a must

walmart.com

This product does a great job cleaning my Keurig Duo! I like that it comes with 2 water filters and 4 single cup cleaners to use in between changing flavors or kinds of coffee.

Great for Keurig coffee makers!

When my Keurig K2 Duo needed to be descaled a number of months ago I was able to handle it with a 1:1 vinegar to water solution. But when it needed to be descaled 2 weeks ago vinegar-water fix didn't fix it. I was disappointed but hesitated to call Keurig because I was sure they'd ask if I'd tried their descaling solution. So I ordered it. It arrived a couple of days later and I followed the instructions to the letter. It WORKED. I'm on a 3-month automatic replenishment schedule. As well as vinegar and water has worked with other coffeemakers, I'm going to use the 3-month brewer care kit from now on.

More than worth it

keurig.com

I am happily with this kit. Contains everything you need to keep your machine running and clean. I recommend this.
Instructions would have been helpful, but I YouTube videos. This is my first keurig, so I have never tried any maintenance on coffee machines before.

Easy to use

I appreciate the convenience of the Keurig brewing system, and the quality and consistency that are built in the brewing process. The 3-month brewer care kit enhances the aspects of convenience, quality and consistency. Regular care of the brewer maintains the quality and consistency of each brewed drink. The thoughtful packaging of the important products used to care for the brewer makes makes periodic care straightforward and convenient.

Convenient Product

It has all you need to keep your Keurig clean and working like new. The only thing I might add is that you refer to the website for instructions on how to use the product. I followed the directions in the box and cannot make my Keurig supreme to complete the process. I had to call Customer Service and an agent by name of Jose was extremely helpful and giving me the steps I need to use to clean my Keurig supreme.
So I ask that you please add the sentence to your instructions, which says go to the website for complete extractions on your specific model. Thank you for making such a wonderful product to service a fantastic machine.

Great Way to your Keurig working like new

I keep my coffee brewer nice and clean because.....IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE for a PERFECT CUP OF BREW.
The kit I purchased has everything needed to keep your brewer making great coffee or drinks.
However, we did find this kit a little less than what the company sells it for. But, nevertheless...If you want to continue great drinks from your brewer, descaling makes all the difference in the world.

Highly Recommend!

The directions on the package are clear & concise; the process takes time, but it's important, especially when your area has hard water. NOTE:. Read your Brewer instructions, also. When I finished descaling our Brewer, the descale light would not go off. Turns out I had skipped a step that was necessary for our particular Brewer.

Clear instructions, easy process

While for the most part it works. I used the descaler according to the instructions on the bottle. Nowhere in the instuctions are you told you have to press 8oz. and 12 oz. simultaniously to put the pot in descaling mode nor does it say to see the video. After trying the bottle stuff the light stayed on. I went online (to a different sight ) to check how you can use white vinegar (and save some money) to descale the pot. This is where I learned about descaling mode. I finally got it descaled. The kit included filters which are handy (and necessary). I still don't know what the Rinse pods are for. For me buying the kit was a waste of money. Better instructions should be included in the kit and not just on the bottle.

Myexperience

I was guilty of not changing the filter for more than a year when the "descaling" light popped on. I did a vinegar cleanse and sent for the new filter and official descaling solution. Ran the process EXACTLY as described and swapped to a new filter. I absolutely cannot tell the difference between old filter and new filter. Coffee tastes exactly the same. It was never bad. I gave it 3 stars because I figure regular maintenance is never a bad idea.

Maintenance

Keurig

The instructions for the descaler on the box indicate to follow the instructions on the descaler solution bottle. There are no instructions on the descaler solution bottle. I watched a video at Keurig.com and followed those instructions. It didn't work - my descaler light still didn't go off. I repeated the process with the 2nd bottle I had purchased, same result. I called Keurig support and found out that my K-Supreme requires the machine be put in “descaler mode” first. This required step was not on the Descaler box, descaler bottle or the descaler video. So, I wasted 2 bottles of the descaler solution.
