This is a replacement - last one lasted about 2 years but don't let this deter you - my dog played with this kitty daily and chewed it as well so I'm sure it would last longer for a non chewing child (lol)- I originally got this from an Instacart replacement for a dog toy that made noise and this is what the guy chose (I just said any dog toy makes noise) and was a little upset to see a kids toy BUT it ended up being one of my dog's fav toys- my plan was to hide it and wrap it for a Christmas present but my little monster (he's very good btw) took it out of the bag almost immediately when I put away some of the groceries & no way he would forget about it- he would ask for it almost constantly until I finally would give in so I just gave it to him- now he needs something else for Christmas
