Broke my Dad's 14in. iron skillet back when I was a teenager. Apologized & was forgiven long ago. However, I wanted to do more...so I replaced it with this giant. Best price I could find on such a large cast iron skillet. Also, I received the skillet one day earlier than expected! :D

I like this, I just didn't realize how Large it was! If you're cooking for a huge party this is wonderful but on a regular night with only 4 family members, it's not needed. Still, it's a nice heavy skillet that I'm glad to own.

I love this cast iron skillet!  It is HUGE!  You need to season it on the grill because it is so large.  I may buy another one.

Amazing skillet!

I held this up, showed my kids and said "Your dad has completely lost his mind, this thing is HUGE!".  But, the first time I used it and cooked an entire breakfast for four in one skillet, I was hooked!  This is the coolest iron skillet I own.

This is my second one! Best price on the web. I have these seasoned and use them on a campfire grid to cook gravy and chicken fried steak for large groups.

Seems like a nice pan which will work out for me. The cooking surface is 17" with the outside of the pan 20". Wish they had a good lid available with it. I hope to get many years of good cooking out of it.

Good skillet

This is a heavy duty cast iron skillet! A little over 20 pounds. It is 19.5 inches inside the bottom and 20 inches at the outside top edge.It is seasoned well right out of the box. This is a good skillet and I do recommend it. My skillet had some ruff texture spots in it and I used my drill with a sanding pad and a electric sander to smooth it down.It took about 2 and 3/4 hours of hard work and I had to season the skillet again.I will try to find or make a lid to fit.
I browned 8 pounds of sausage in less than 30 min.and could have done more. You can fry 10 pounds taters with 3 pounds onions and it will still hold more.$70.62 is a good price.I paid $84 something 3 weeks ago at walmart.

Cooking for deer hunting camp ?

Not Happy! Put this thing on the burner for the first time to cook some chicken and the whole bottom of it started smoking like crazy and it caught on fire. Luckily I put it out. Had to strip all the original seasoning off and start all over. I don't know what they put on this skillet for seasoning but it turned into a potential dangerous situation for me.

Fire waiting to happen.
