Ease Of Setup

Setup was fairly easy; although, the manual instructions did not match the actual steps on my Windows 11 computer.

Easy setup. Good security.

Kingston.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50 series are made to be lightweight and sturdy. It also supports USB 3.2 for fast data transfer. The transfer speeds on Linux, Windows and Mac OS X systems is very pleasing. I must set a password to use this device. I can also use it by entering the password whenever this device is connected to the PC. This device can safely store documents or data that require security.

I can safely store documents or data that require

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a drive to keep our tax information on, especially since our taxes involve more documentation than the average household. I will say that this seems a whole lot more complex than I was envisioning, especially once I saw the 34-page user guide. It was a bit daunting. It seems like there are 3 passwords total that can be used, one being a recovery password. It sounds like if I use the recovery password, it allows me to reset the main password. I have not purposely tried that method though. I do appreciate the option to have multiple passwords, just in case though. I am a little nervous that I will forget a password and get locked out, but I guess that is the risk I'm taking by having a password protected device.

Safre storage option

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that IronKey Vault Privacy 50 comes with software preloaded on the drive and it's quick and easy to set up and begin using the drive. In an attempt to keep the number of failed logins as low as possible the software has a couple of useful features. With the modern technology, it is best to have a secure way to store your important data.

Quick Setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great storage device with password protection. This hardware encrypted usb is easy to set up and will keep my files protected while on this drive that can store up to 8GB. There is a great video on YouTube that also walks you through and explains the way this usb is setup and how to set and change a password.

IronKey Vault Privacy 50 8GB

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KingstonTech - IronKey Vault Privacy 50 is a fantastic flash drive that provides world class encryption to protect the data it contains. This is the perfect product that you can transfer private data from work to home without concern regarding security, or to store financial information that you would prefer to remain safe.
This is a good quality USB drive that doesn't feel cheap and truly lives up to the quality that I expect from Kingston. The USB software is is easy to use and setting the password is a breeze (just make sure you pick a good one), I do like that there is a failsafe to ensure that the password can be reset if needed and I really like that there is the ability to provide different passwords to different users, restricting or allowing access to the data stored. Read only option is a great feature as it ensures that only those approved can alter data when needed. Data transfer is reliable and fast, again as expected from Kingston
Personally in the world of working from home, I think this is a wonderful product as it really does give you the piece of mind that the data stored is safe and secure whilst travelling and if you loose it, there is no way for others to access it.
This is a product that I thoroughly recommend to others not just to small and medium businesses, but for personal use to allow users to protect their own personal data/files.

Secure and reliable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy is a USB drive that provide business-grade security with 256-bit hardware-encryption with digitally-signed firmware and against Brute Force password attacks. Because it is encrypted storage under your physical control, VP50 series are superior to using the internet and Cloud services to safeguard data. If you value your security, get yourself one.

Love Security

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my favorite flash drive I've gotten. I normally just get the normal cheaper ones that do the generic everyday things. This one is completely secure and I can put all of my personal information into one area. It's a nice secure flash drive and it's amazing all you can store on it. I'll definitely be using this flash drive going forward!

GREAT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My workplace deals with a lot of PHI and Data that requires it to be compliant with standards. This is one of the few USBs that follows the standards and allows both software and hardware encryption. Works great for moving files between computers at the office, or shipping them securely to a remote user.

Great for secure information

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy setup with multiple password options. You can either setup Complex or Passphrase passwords and also get admin options. Be sure to think about this on initial setup or you may have to reset it if you decide to change later. Still very simple and not a big deal. If you have a need to travel with sensitive data regularly than investing in this type of drive is recommended. If you happen to lose it and someone tries to get to the data, it will erase the drive after 10 failed attempts. It has a number of security features like protection against brute force attacks and virtual keyboard to protect against key loggers. Most importantly it has business grade certified AES 256-bit hardware encryption. If you're going to purchase something like this don't skimp on those cheaper no-name devices that state encrypted but not what kind of encryption. Overall quality is on the upper end and when holding the device, it feels very solid. So, no worries about travelling with it and you end up dropping it, stepping on it, etc. Kingston has been around for years and is known for its quality.

Peace of mind
