The Kingston IronKey™ Keypad 200 series are OS-independent hardware-encrypted USB Type-A and USB Type-C®1 drives with an alphanumeric keypad for easy-to-use PIN access.<br>The KP200 incorporates XTS-AES 256-bit hardware-based encryption. It also is FIPS 140-3 Level 3 (Pending) certified for military-grade security with enhancements that further elevate the bar for data protection. Its circuitry is covered by a layer of special epoxy that makes it virtually impossible to remove components without damaging them; this tough epoxy stops attacks against the semiconductor components. The drive is designed to be tamper-evident to alert owners. It also incorporates Brute Force password attack protection, and BadUSB protection with digitally signed firmware. The alphanumeric keypad is coated with a layer of polymer that protects the keys and hides key usage through analysis of fingerprints on the keys.

This is a small light weight drive key that will hold a lot of information for you. The key itself is sturdy and does not stick out too far from the computer. I used it in my home PC and love that the secure information can't be accessed without entering a pin on the key itself. I am in the process of putting all out important documents on this key! I would highly recommend this to anyone in the IT field or anyone wanting to secure private documents.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has brought me a lot of relief in regards to my personal data. I can finally store all my digital media and docs in a secure device. At first glance, this seems to be protected only by it's ability to be assigned a rock solid alphanumeric passcode, but upon further inspection I realize how much deeper the security on this device goes. There's a physical coating within the device itself and on the surface of the keys, both adding a layer of protection against tampering and nefarious intentions. The keypad specifically, has a coating to hide key usage so that nobody can tell which keys have been pressed or used most often. This entire device is brilliantly designed, from the software to the hardware and encryption level, KingstonTech did not compromise on security!

The most secure USB I've ever owned!

Well made. Keys depress with precision. I found a video of the setup process. The video was much simpler than the following the setup instructions. Price seemed high until I got the item. I feel much safer with my stored data as I travel.

High price but worth it.

So far so good! I ordered a week ago, the encryption and decryption works flawlessly so far. No issue has arisen, and it is compatible with all the platforms that I needed it to be compatible with MacOS, Wiindows, Linux, and IpadOS.

I like it, but can it survive years and years?

I love the keypad feature and have successfully backed up the files I wanted offline... securely and easily.  Now I have all files off my pc and on this drive safely stored.

Amazing Secure Drive

Secure Drive

Awesome and secure USB

The stick has a built-in rechargeable battery so you never have to worry about it not working. It includes military-grade security with enhancements that protect all your data. The stick is super easy to use and transfer your files. I like the fact that this will delete all the data if someone tries to get into it too much. It has been great for work related stuff!

Great for keeping things private!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This encrypted USB really gives peace of mind. Works for any sensitive content you want to keep safe from prying eyes. It was easy to set up both the user PIN and the admin PIN by following the video's on the brand website.They also provide a walkthrough video that explains the functions of the USB.  Take care to remember your passcode, if the wrong admin PIN is entered wrong 10 times all of the data saved on the USB will be permanently deleted. This would be great to use for tax information, sensitive documents, or anything that could be linked to identity theft. Highly recommend!

Protects and gives peace of mind

The IronKey Keypad 200 is very well built and sturdy.  Not that I will do it, but my guess is I can drive a car over it and it would survive. Also seems at least splash proof with Key place in the holder as a fine silicone or rubber seal between the case and the key seems made to exclude water.  The bad part and reason to take away one star is the complexity of the instructions.  There is no way an individual with a normal memory will remember all the ways to program this, but I do feel pretty safe that with 8-15 numbers/letters as a passcode that it would very strongly deter any efforts to steal your data.

Well made, but complex

Did not work in all of our ultrasound machines. Just one. Disappointed. Otherwise, it's fine.
