Love this brewer. Absolutely no additional costs other than this unit to brew cold coffee or tea. Center has a very fine mesh filter to strain coffee. I get no fine residue. The spigot is tight and does not leak when turned in off position. Solid stainless unit,easy to clean, and the handle makes it easy to transport.  My first brewer used oversized filters that were hard to find and expensive. This one's a winner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Up until last month, I have been using a different brand counter-top system to make both coffee and tea cold brew for many years.  I tried my first KitchenAid Cold Brew maker about a month ago.  I was so impressed, I purchased another one so I always have both Coffee and Tea available.  The "brews" that this unit make are flavorful, perhaps even more so than my previous brand, and I am very impressed.  The fact that you serve from the same container you brew in, saves space both in the refrigerator and cupboard storage.  The tap that you serve from has been absolutely drip-free so far!

If I have some minor complaints, the first would be the size.  It is smaller than my previous unit, so I feel like I am brewing more often.  However, since it is all contained in the fridge, it really is not as cumbersome to brew a batch of coffee/tea.  Second would be clean up;  Clean up is much easier than I anticipated, but it would still be nice to throw the unit in the dishwasher instead of having to hand wash it.  Like I said these are minor complaints, and I strongly recommend this unit!

I like strong, rich coffee, so I was a little skeptical that it would actually brew a concentrate that needed to be diluted with water, but it does indeed make a rich concentrate, and the recommendation that it be mixed with water at a ratio of 3:1 water to coffee is valid. Also, I like the design, with the spigot for drawing the coffee, and also like the sturdy construction.

He did all the research and trust me he is a research fiend so if this passes with him it had to be awesome.  I was actually a little excited for him to get it and start using it.  He has done nothing but rave about all of it's features and has actually tried to convince me to get another one to make ice tea with.  We are actually gong to take this on our vacation when we travel out of country for 3 weeks.  I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

My Husband is in Love With This

The weather is getting warmer and it is great to have coffee ready to go without the hassle of making it each time. You set up the cold brew in the fridge and in a moment's notice you have great tasting brew. I have experimenting with strength, milk or no milk and it tastes great every time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a coffee drinker for over 40 years and really started drinking iced coffee about 6 years ago. I would always have to put cream in it because it would give me heartburn from the bitterness. I drink the cold brewed coffee from this device with no cream or sugar and it is delicious. The set-up is easy and the clean up is too. The process takes 12-24 hours so you have to plan ahead but there is nothing for you to do but put in coffee and water.

As soon as we run out of the concentrated coffee we make another batch and it's ready the very next day - to perfection. I highly recommend this brand and cold brew system. (Plus it saves me a lot of money having it at home instead of going to the coffee shop!)

Great Cold Brew

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product will be critical to my wallet! I can easily brew it over the weekend and then it lasts throughout the week cutting down all my Dunkin' trips. 

In the past I tried to do my own home cold brew, but I didn't have a great way to filter it and it took like 3 containers to brew, filter and store it. This KitchenAid system cuts out all of those and makes it a simple 1 container solution that fits on the shelf in my fridge. I don't have to invent a crazy way to filter and there is no residue in my concentrate.

Simple Solution for my Iced Coffee obsession

Only issue I found is that the instructions only had the coffee and water measurements in metric.  I had to search for a metric to cups conversion on my phone.

Perfect size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would recommend this if you are serious about cold brew, do not mind having another appliance, and have room in your fridge to store it (my fridge is not very large). It is easy to use, nice design and solidly made. Instructions do say to use more coffee than I make at a time, however I adjusted coffee and water down and it worked out well. I used my Kitchen Aid burr grinder to grind on coarse (#2), filtered water and set on my counter for 24 hours. Was very tasty.

Cool Cold Brew - but yet another 'appliance'

[Employee of walmartcanada] Bought this today..followed instructions and two hours later there was coffee leaking all over my fridge...spout will not stop dripping ..Im so disappointed ..guess I will be returning it which makes me sad as I thought being a KitchenAid I was  buying a quality item
