It grinds the exact amount of cups I need and is fairly quiet, so I can use it in the morning while others are asleep.  It's also nice that it doesn't take up too much space on the countertop. Awesome burr grinder

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This grinder does it all! I make a variety of coffee beverages at home - using a drip machine, French press, and manual espresso machine regularly. I was looking for a precision grinder that could do everything, and this one nails it every time. It's very easy to dial-in the perfect grind for any situation, then program the preferences once I found the right balance. Almost zero static. And quiet enough that I don't need to wait until the kids wake up (or grind my beans in the garage, like I did with the old blade grinder).

Quiet and perfect.

It's not bad! I've had this grinder for a few months meow. This is an upgrade from my last coffee grinder. Only reason why I replace it is because I like to grind my coffee fresh in the morning and now I can without waking everyone up at 5am. Fairly consistent grinds too. Only gripe is I wish the settings were in oz instead of cups but that's just me. All in all, I think this is worth it. Just hope it lasts.

Just a quiet purr from the burr

I have an older KitchenAid burr grinder that's built like a tank. Metal body, glass hopper, glass powder cup. The motor is worn, and it was time to buy a new one. I picked up one of these newer KitchenAid grinders, and was immediately disappointed. It feels cheap, and has a PLASTIC hopper and PLASTIC powder cup. Really? With all the momentum behind trying to curb plastic use, why are manufacturers totally blind to this? I know the answer - it's money. Anyway, I returned it because I don't want more plastic in my kitchen or in my body.
