We bought this over a year ago and we have had none of the issues that the people writing the bad reviews have. It still works as good as the day we bought it and we bought one for our cottage. It's easy to use and comfortable on the hands.

Great purchase

Ibought this and always it's work great just don't wash it with water just clean it with a dry cloth.

great product

Never had a can opener that cuts through a can like this one. My mother has arthritis in her hands and she has no problem using this. Haven't had it very long so time will tell.

Hot knife through butter

I had the same bad experience as others. The opener broke after using it a handful of times. I think it lasted two weeks. And although Kitchen Aid is far more pricey than other products, I also had the same poor quality in my Kitchen Aid coffee maker and dishwasher....and these are the only Kitchen Aid products I own.

I would recommend consumers stay away from Kitchen Aid altogether if they want value for their money. It seems they are charging for more than they deliver, coasting on their name, not their quality.

Garbage - Breaks immediately after purchase

After opening around 20 cans it stopped working. Researched it on line after it failed only to fine it is a piece of junk. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

STAY AWAY

Less than 6 months after purchasing this product,  the hinge rivet has rusted to the point that it is extremely difficult to open to apply to the can.   For a top name like Kitchen Aid,  I would expect more.

Rust Problem

Doesn't work very well. It is weaknesses is the roller and jaws

Bought this thinking it would be worth the expensive price, seems you just pay for a name. It just slips around the cans and doesn't cut the metal, bought a cheap old style one which works perfectly. Don't waste your money on this product.

Same thing the Dollarama sells for $3, and its not even worth that. Stay away!

I bought this product and after the second use it started to go wrong.Less than a year and it no longer works.
