After looking at Ninja products and the popular stuff on the market, I realized those personal blenders don't have much room, and not as much power as I was looking for. Trying to go all organic and blend daily, this KitchenAid blender has proven to be the winner! It is powerful and simple to use, its 5-page mini instruction guide can even tell you what combination of settings to use in order to create various types of blends (nut butters vs smoothies, soups vs baby food, raw foods and lettuce, etc). I can blend frozen fruits, raw spinach and ripe bananas all together and the result is a (very smooth) smoothie!

It's easy to clean, too, and I clean by hand. While it sometimes takes a little strength to unlock the blender from its base when you're ready to pour, it proves to be safe and sturdy due to this locking feature. I have been using this blender 5x/week for about two months without issue. And for those with a noise concerns - all blenders are relatively loud. I'm not sure why 'noise level' is a consideration when looking into blenders, at all (don't bother). Also great - the blender comes in a variety of colors, and this orange or 'tangerine' blender is true to the color displayed online! A great product I would buy again if ever the need should arise.

I was in the market for a new, powerful blender. I wanted one specifically to make healthy smoothies. This 5-speed diamond blender is perfect! It has a ice-crushing mode that is incredibly powerful. It is only 2 pieces (3 including the lid), that is easy to use and to clean--which is another Very important feature when you want to use an appliance often. I made one of my favorite recipes: Kale, mango, banana, ice smoothie. It came out divinely silky, smooth!

I bought this to replace a more economy line blender I bought 6 months ago and broke on me. Apparently I put too many veggies in it because is started to melt the plastic inside the motor. The screen melted shortly thereafter. So I thought I would spend a bit more on a trusted brand. I wasn't sure when I saw the container was a lighter plastic compound than the heavy glass jar of the last one. But the gradual startup speed, and the virtual tornado that is created within seconds of starting this thing up had me hooked. I won't pack as much spinach in this one to be sure. But from watching it I feel like this one could blend just about anything. Very happy.

An excellent upgrade

We purchased this blender a little over a month ago to replace our former Cuisinart blender.  This is a great blender.  It is a lot quieter than our former blender, it smoothly purees everything we put in it, and it's super easy to clean.  Would definitely buy this again!

I was afraid that the motor may not handle ice as swiftly as the description says it will, but I have been delightfully proven wrong. In KitchenAid's usual fashion, they have designed this for everyday use and it will even crush regular ice tray cubes into fine snow. I layer roughly diced fresh fruit and regular ice cubes and the Diamond Blender tears through it in seconds, literally, about 30 seconds and I have an ice-cold, thick, creamy smoothie. You can make healthy, homemade dressings in a flash, whiz together a cheese spread, puree a creamy soup or choose to leave it a little chunky, and liquify tomatoes for sauce. Cleanup is simple, just put a little water and one drop of dish liquid, replace the lid and position the jar on the motor, then give it whirr; rinse and done. I am very much enjoying this blender.

I only use my blender for one purpose and that's to make Margarita's.   My old Kitchen Aid blender was fabulous.  I just loved it.  It was one of the top models. The pitcher and off and on so easily.  The problem was I could smell it burning up when used so thought I'd better get a new one.  This new one has a pitcher you have to twist to get on and off.  You have no idea how hard that is for someone with arthritic hands.  I have spilt my Margarita's all over the place trying to get it off and on.  Who ever invented this is out of their mind.  Very unimpressed.  I want my old one back.

Not what I expected

The plastic coupler that joins the pitcher to the base will not hold up long no matter how it is used.  About 8 vegetable smoothies was it for me.  It blends very well and has very good features until it quits.  The metal inner gear that the plastic is molded to appears to be threaded and should be replacable without replacing the entire pitcher. Poor design could easily be fixed with a better quality coupler at the bottom of the pitcher. Otherwise a great blender.

Not sure how hard I am on blenders, but this broke the first time I used it. I was making a mash of cookies, and oil, and by the time I finished adding the oil, the motor overheated and it would not work any longer. Seriously did not have it running longer than 5 minutes. Very disappointed. Love my other KitchenAid products, so I was quite disappointed in the blender.
